MGS4 on 360 1st

well i feel that if a game is good enough for me to keep playing, its good enough to support the company that put it out and buy it. if i play a game that feels like not enough effort was put into the creation of the game to make it worthwhile, its not worth me going out and buying. The worst thing that comes out of that is that i just grab up whatever achievements i can before making the game a thought of the past. had mgs4 come to 360 i woulda tried it out, if i liked it i would have bought it, if not i woulda just discarded it.
I never got into the MGS series...but i never got into splinter cell either till my friend convinced me to play double agent.

Even it's "Must have" title took extremely long to reflect being called a "Must have".

For example, the conversation we're in right now. Reaction to PS3 exlusiveness being confirmed, yet again? The only 2 Xbox 360 owners saying it's not that great and they only would have burned it.

I'm a 360 owner, and I'm saying you can't call the game good or bad, and it's a shame it's not multi-platform. I'm not dropping $560+ for MGS4. FF13, honestly, doesn't interest me in the slightest. The series has stagnated. I haven't been interested in a true Final Fantasy since 9.

I comment that them burning an illegal copy isn't any better than them not buying a copy at all.(It's worse really since they're less likely to buy a PS3 and legit version, not that those 2 would have.) Then you challenge me that PS3 games have been ripped.

But I NEVER SAID THEY HADN'T BEEN.

Depends on who you ask. The Xbox 360 game I want most is Dead Rising. The game that's most hyped is Gears of War. People were calling Gears of War a must have before it was released. The same for Crack Down.

Final Fantasy 10 is my favorite game of all time. I guess the series managed to keep your interest though enough to play FF11 and get to max level, then hang around a Final Fantasy message board and explain how the series is stagnant.

I never bashed HD DVD for lack of copyright protection. However I have pointed out it's why Blu-ray has all the studio support and will consequently win the format war.

I figured "True" would have eluded you. GG. I enjoyed Crystal Chronicles as well, that came out after 9. But the main, singleplayer franchise has algae and rust all over it.

Curious, what didn't you like about FFX or XII? :P (I'd throw in X-2 but that's just.. lol) Or I guess.. what about it made it that you weren't excited about it like you have been for FF9 and FF before then.
 
The plot from X was just a huge turn off for me, sphere grid wasn't great too. But wasn't a huge problem. The plot from XII was slightly on the boring side, and the license system was just full blown retarded. The combat system change was good, but other than than, it just felt pretty average.

FF13 will, no doubt, be a success. But my hopes of it being fun are very low.

I don't go around bashing games, because everyone has different tastes and a game I dislike may be fun to others - hence bashing the game is just ignorant, but if want to know why I have my doubts about Halo 3 and Mass Effect? I can't speak for Halo 3 since it's so far away to know shit, but Mass Effect seems so graphically intensive that the game is destined to be very short.

With the promise of flying around the universe this leads me to believe that it's going to be a let down as far as just expensive this game is going to be.

Being 6 hours long didn't stop everyone from crowning Gears of War "best game eva" so I figure they're more likely to make it a short game than they are to make it multidisc.

I've talked about blu-ray's support as a point of contention with Microsoft because it would hurt their live-streaming into every orifice bit. Talked about copyright being why blu-ray has all the support. Never remember bashing it as if I cared or not personally if people rip movies/games. But those people ripping are not paying customers and therefore not business.

ah, understandable. I agree.. The story for FFXII didn't feel as FF to me as the others. License wasn't too bad but it wasn't anything interesting really. I liked the sphere grid in FFX cause it was a change of pace :P Story wasn't bad either, some cliches but what doesn't have cliches these days?

What I meant is that the license system was just so pointless, it's just a ridiculous hurdle you have to perform for absolutely no reason.

And just because the game isn't out doesn't mean you can't tell if its gonna be good or bad. I mean i can tell from the title that Barbie's Play house isn't probably a game im gonna be picking up but i knew i wanted gears of war atleast a year before it was released and its one of my favorite games ever.

I know what a Publisher can do and can't do, and what they can't do is force a developer to make a game they have no contract for.

So your telling me if you post in say, I don't know, chasyms "I quit" post and you were gone for a day and missed like 10 pages of posts but see something you want to comment on on the last page, its not okay to post then, you have to go back and read all 10 pages before hand? Not everyone has the time to sit on a forums and read and read and then maybe post. So sorry i was just skimming and didn't catch he was referring to skaws post, which like i said 3 times before he could have just quoted it.

Plus, where the hell are you guys getting that i was arguing something in that post? the mgs4 thing was just becuase i thought he was talkin about something else. But the rest of my post is just talking about how its not bad to mark something as a must buy. I'm honesly not even really talking about his post in reference to PS3 vs. Xbox.

But w/e its 1 AM here and im tired as shit so fuck it.
