Michael Vick Indicted for Dog Fighting

Never said that, but if you've ever looked at my posts, which would probably do you some good to look into the person you're coming into a discussion with...

Plenty of people have pretended to be something they aren't. Off top, Myrrh has a thread here where a female found out he was a guy, even though he was telling her he was a girl during their elationship.

Just because I partake of the meat that was put on earth to be harvested for the betterment of those higher on the food chain does not mean I should have no feeling for those that are domesticated for companionship and entrusted to the owner to care for, nourish and support for the totality of their lifespan.

LOL, the meat you eat wasn't put on this earth, it was bred and raised by someone who treats them horribly. They are packed into their living areas without room to even move, but I guess it's ok cause it isn't a dog? Is that what you're saying? Only domesticated animals matter to you? Cool, guess I won't send you that packet on endangered animals out there.

On the point of your "business" defense, if you are looking to protect your team/company and partners, investing in someone with incredibly bad PR with connections to alleged (incredibly) illegal activity that involves the harm and abuse of innocent animals. Animals that some would judge as children, because you'll hear just about any dog-owner say, "Oh he's like a little person, that's my baby!". I, as an investor in a very large technical firm, would be VERY displeased to learn that my money was helping (even in some miniscule way) feed something so horrid and negative. That's an automatic pull out for me. The investors themselves, should just (and possibly are) say "You know what, get rid of that fucking blemish on our record... or we walk".

When the Falcons first invested in Vick he didn't have bad PR. I wouldn't call his activities "incredibly" illegal, because as Strid pointed out, the local law tends to turn a blind eye, or even participate in this activity.

Yeah... have you seen anywhere, that I am boasting the moral fabric and social education of our city? No actually, if you would have read earlier posts, I stated that this type of illegal activity is prevalent in my area. The reason they get such little jailtime and fines, that our own mayor may find personal entertainment value in such atrocious activities. I never boasted that we're the Pitbull Haven of the nation, did I? A rescue center on every street corner? No, I said that the breed of dog is ILLEGAL here, because of fucking idiot morons just like Mr. Vick here. A+ for effort though, really.

You told us that your area would have anyone all on the news for these atrocities, which is bogus. I live in one the most tree hugging areas in this country, and they could give a shit less about a pit bull. They are killed by the 100s in shelters, and I don't see anyone raising an eyebrow. Is dog fighting shitty? Yes, is it the worst thing a person can do? By far it isn't. These dogs were bred to fight, they were bred to kill bulls. They are trained to kill all sorts of shit because they have a never quit mechanism inside of them that will only let them see victory. That is how Pit Bulls were bred.

Yes, because the likes of PETA are all incredibly educated on the ins and outs of QB stats, right? I can totally see Pam Anderson having the same stats conversation with you as the gentlemen before us did... Uneducated? Take a look at what you're posting, and then get back to me on that. You're obviously not seeing past you the entertainment value Vick brings to the football games you so lovingly obsess over. If you ever worked in a marketing firm, or a Human Relations position, as I have.. you'd know that Vick was toast, if not immediately, quite soon afterwards.

I obsess more over football, than some crusade to ruin michael vicks life. Things aren't looking good for him, and the sole reason is his fame, nothing else. Again, look at Strid's post, local law doesn't give a shit about dog fighting.

As for you smart-assed comment? Did I come in here and say something about you as a man? Or something about your nationality? No, I sure as fuck didn't. You straight-up told me, without even knowing me to even let it be tongue-in-cheek, to be quiet and go cook or clean something... Real classy. You're only making yourself look stupid here, Meeze. Your reasoning is completely off-base, and you're still derailing.

Great job man, seriously.

You made a comment about the people who were posting about football in here. I made a comment about the idiots that think football shouldn't be discussed in a topic about a...FOOTBALL player. BTW, your post about the "derailment" (which obviously isn't a derailment because the topic is about football, and how the NFL is dealing with it) was the biggest derail in this thread.

Just edit it out, I'll wait for you and follow suit.

dont play innocent dumb broad, you made a racial slur at me, which got deleted.

dont play innocent dumb broad, you made a racial slur at me, which got deleted.

I only went to the level AFTER you made the beginning comment. Good job on living up to peoples low expectations of you. Really, I applaud you sir.

I only went to the level AFTER you made the beginning comment. Good job on living up to peoples low expectations of you. Really, I applaud you sir.

As I already explained before you got vengeful and made your comment, I HAD NO IDEA YOU WERE A BROAD.

How dense are you? I say i didn't know you were a girl, and yet you still hang on to that "sexist" comment. Get over it lol.

If the Falcons felt releasing him was their best option, he'd be gone by now. It may come soon, but atm they are still talking to the NFL to find out. The NFL has hired its own investigators to decide what to do with Vick since his case is obviously going to be delayed.

As for my home town, I didn't come in here on my high horse talking about how my area is so caring and would have anyone on the news who did this sort of thing. Well, I got news for you, I doubt a bunch of pitbulls are going to make the news unless they are killing someone, or someone famous is killing them. That is how the news works, and I think it's time the teeny bopper joined the real world.

Look at Strid's post, he is from that area and gave us some incite as to how dog fights happen in the south, and the "punishments" handed down by the local authorities.

As for a girl standing up to me...lol, even the mod said to keep this thread about dogs or football, which just goes to show what this thread should be about. If she doesn't know football, she doesn't need to speak on it, but it is blatently obvious that this thread will involve football because of who the thread is about.

Now, if you're done kissing up to another broad you'll never stick your dick in, lets get back to the real discussion.

Meeze the NFL is going to the feds for their information of what to do with Vick. They haven't hired their own investigators because they're talking with the feds for what he's done because he's breaking the NFL player conduct policy. He's already been told to not attend training camp because of the investigation the NFL is doing simply because face it Vick is guilty if you actually saw the shots you would know Vick wouldn't win in court. Seriously we're better off talking about Elijah Dukes sending pictures messages to his wife saying he was going to kill her, allegedly. As this case holds more water than Elijah Dukes. Also nice job on avoiding my question to you of how Oakland was founded. Moral fibers in Oakland that is just hysterical.

Actually there have been news reports here in Chicago of not just pit bulls or rots that weren't killing someone. So Detroit isn't the only town to break news on horribly raised dogs attacking people. This would also be a federal case for any other person because Vick's house has now been searched more than once. Once by the local police then by the feds. If there wasn't enough evidence to warrant a case in the first place the feds wouldn't have gotten involved. It's just coincidental that Vick is stupid enough to raise warning flags by leaving all that shit in spots that aren't inconspicuous.

Strid is also from the backwater part of Georgia. This is in Virginia not Georgia police Meeze. Once again your stupidity shines so nicely for not even knowing what the fuck you're talking about. I instantly dismissed Strid's post because it had nothing to do with Virginia law and how the laws were enforced.

I would also like to note how ignorant you are of the justice system. It takes time for the affidavits, the subpoenas to be written up, and all the other shit that I don't feel like listing. This is just in phase 1.

I wasn't sticking up for Morwen at all. So you keep thinking that while you keep living your lonely life. You brought sex into this Morwen didn't you'll use anything you want to knowing there wont be any repercussions against you. I don't know why you haven't been banned already when all you do is pick fights, bring shit that honestly doesn't matter into everything, and try to wield a big stick. Meeze it's the web carry your big stick on your high horse somewhere else see where that gets you, and you may achieve something with your life other than bragging about how "leet" you are.

Also I wont bring up any factors of sex here. I'm not fishing for anything from Morwen at all. You keep thinking that because I'm not the only one who picked up your small tweek on the go get laid defense. I wont stoop to your level because in any shape and form, tangible or intangible, I am the bigger man. You know what I can honestly live with that because I wont resort to what petty tactics like you.

Plenty of people have pretended to be something they aren't. Off top, Myrrh has a thread here where a female found out he was a guy, even though he was telling her he was a girl during their elationship.

Yeah, wasn't that 'chick' Windaria, or her second character? I'm going to have to discredit that example until you prove otherwise. But good job on bringing up other peoples dirty laundry...

Where did I ever say that other animals weren't a point of matter or concern? I really hope you have knee-pads for all those conclusions you're jumping to...

I will give you no argument, that normally these things are given a blind eye, as to not make the area look any worse than it already is. In my area, it IS given special attention, because of the frequency of the crime... In earlier posts (which you probably looked over, deeming yourself too important to dwell on the words of paupers) I noted that the Animal Cops show you used to watch was mostly filmed in MY area... No famous people were in those shows because, oh wow, its a horrible mark on our city and no one here likes it so they put a nationally syndicated television network to filming the horrible truth about our problem with harming innocent animals!

The reason your area, Oakland, doesn't give a shit about pitbulls or putting it on the news even if it IS prevalent in your area.. is because they're too busy filming the segment about drive-bys and human on human crime. Yay for tree-hugging, if you don't, we'll kill you? Nice. I know the reason Pits were bred, its why they're named the way they are. They're stocky enough to take a few dig-hits (when the bull noses to the ground and kind of shovels you up) and have a locking jaw that they lach onto the jugular of the bull, until it passes out due to lack of blood to the brain. They're an off-breed of the Bulldog (bred for the same reason, similar jaw locking, pigeon-toe and low, stocky build). I know there are worse things a person can do, than abuse animals. But honestly, in the case of any serial killer (just an example) or homicidal perpetrator, there is a documented or witnessed past of animal abuse. Who is to say that he won't go further? What about his children? What about his wife? What could happen to them, if he so calously treats an innocent being in this way?

You obsess over football, and trolling this board, because you have nothing else. Maybe its what you're good at. I know people that can name the entire starting line-up for the 1967 Tigers team (don't ask me why, I have yet to figure that out myself). If that's your hobby, fine. But statistics really have nothing to do with a thread about one man's crime. Local law in his area may not give a shit about dog fighting, and hey, thats their problem. But other areas, like mine, do give a shit. Famous people get fucked over all the time, just because they have money. You will NEVER hear me argue otherwise with you. However, this is going a bit farther than steroids, drunken driving or finding out a guy is the first gay NBA player, evar.

i am disgusted by his actions

I'll get over it, just like you got over that seeping buttache you had in the flameboards about people calling you a 'beaner' after you used the words 'n****r' repatedly. Pot, this is Kettle; Kettle, this is Pot.

And if you don't know something about someone, maybe you should learn to EXAMINE WHAT YOU SAY before you OPEN your mouth. God forbid, self-censorship. What a novel idea!

Barbaric!!!!!!!!

woah woah woah! they got the wrong guy i'm telling you! it was his evil twin Ron Mexico!!!! don't hate on the good guy!

You are talking out of your ignorant ass again romper.

Like I told you before, stop telling everyone "facts" when you don't know what you're talking about.

You are mistaken little one. I didn't get offended someone called me a beaner, I was offended that Cmdrfly posted in that very thread that any racial comments would lead to a one week suspension. Apparantley that rule didn't include me cause I have thick skin.

Call me a beaner all you like.

broads lol.

This is the biggest reason for all this crap. I remembered this because when he signed it all the people who ran the chicken fights here got pulled into court. Too bad only the underlings went to jail, maybe thats what will happen here?

Pretty stupid that Michael Vick kept doing it after this.

The President Signs Landmark Animal Fighting Legislation

Also nice job on avoiding my question to you of how Oakland was founded. Moral fibers in Oakland that is just hysterical.

What the fuck does how Oakland was founded have to do with anything?

And I never brought up my area as a point of high moral fiber, mor(sp) did about detroit. How fucking dumb are you?

Actually there have been news reports here in Chicago of not just pit bulls or rots that weren't killing someone. So Detroit isn't the only town to break news on horribly raised dogs attacking people. Yes, most people attacked by dogs are not attacked by pits or rots. Good job, you said something obvious.

Um...It has nothing to do with laws or how they are enforced. It is about a way of life in the south. And yes, Virginia is part of the south. Open your eyes, you think laws are the final say, there are things that go on in parts of the country that are illegal, but the law overlooks them. I am very willing to believe that animal cruelty is one of them.

There was an HBO special not too long ago about dog kennels. It was sickening the way these dogs were being treated, I turned it off no more than 15 min later. The local law was doing nothing about it, it took HBO sending a man undercover for a long time to get in good with the owners and get hired to uncover everything going on.

I would also like to note how ignorant you are of the justice system. It takes time for the affidavits, the subpoenas to be written up, and all the other shit that I don't feel like listing. This is just in phase 1.

Ok...when did I say the case should be done now? Are you talking about me saying the hearing is going to be dragged out...god you are a fucking moron. A tactic for high publicity cases is to make motions in the early stages of a trial to prolong the case. This is done so people forget about the case, and it starts to fade in peoples mind.

I'm already pretty sick of hearing about this for 1.5 hours on every sportscenter all day. I guess it is summer, and the usual would be watching highlights of some teams minicamp.

I wasn't sticking up for Morwen at all. So you keep thinking that while you keep living your lonely life. You brought sex into this Morwen didn't you'll use anything you want to knowing there wont be any repercussions against you. Meeze it's the web carry your big stick on your high horse somewhere else see where that gets you, and you may achieve something with your life other than bragging about how "leet" you are.

Here is you coming in with your cape on:

Lay off of Morwen...

I am sure Morwen would rather be apart of a group that doesn't pick their battles. If they were more concerned with animals they would be against everything that didn't break news.

LOL, you're a douche if you really thought I meant you were trying to get in her pants. What I meant was get off her nuts, she can fight her own fight, and she for sure doesn't need some idiot who makes up most of his evidence defending her.

Yeah, wasn't that 'chick' Windaria, or her second character? I'm going to have to discredit that example until you prove otherwise. But good job on bringing up other peoples dirty laundry...

It was posted on the FB, where Myrrh admitted to pretending to be a girl. I don't think I'm airing anyones laundry that hasn't already been aired so get off your high horse.

Right... so... where did the cow come from again? Oh yeah... wild animals... that were put on earth... to be bred into even more fit eating material... to... oh wow, be eaten! Great conclusion. Where did I ever say that other animals weren't a point of matter or concern? I really hope you have knee-pads for all those conclusions you're jumping to...

And how are these cows treated? That is what I'm talking about, not the cow being turned into a burger. Look at conditions these animals live in before they are turned into that burger, then you can go on a crusade to make cows happier.

In CA there was an ad agency that sued CAs milk industry because their slogan was "Good cheese comes from happy cows, happy cows come from CA" They showed the conditions they live in, and people are still content to eat a burger.

Btw, I know our society looks down on eating dogs, but how would you feel if the dogs that were treated like this were then sent to be eaten by some restaurant? Would that change your view?

I thought a lot of it was filmed in NY, but its been a few years since I watched it. Anyway, my point was that people who do horrible things with their dogs were only getting small fines, and usually no jail time. The fact that Vick is a celebrity is going to get handed a stiffer penalty, and is actually making nation wide news.

The reason your area, Oakland, doesn't give a shit about pitbulls or putting it on the news even if it IS prevalent in your area.. is because they're too busy filming the segment about drive-bys and human on human crime. LOL, there are no drive-bys in oakland, thats an LA thing. Overall, the news stays out of oakland, and bad neighborhoods in general because they don't care what happens. The same reason detroit is all fucked up, I'm guessing Detroit and Oakland have similar crime rates.

You obsess over football, and trolling this board, because you have nothing else. Maybe its what you're good at. Its not a high horse dude, its common courtesy. Leave old shit in the past where it belongs. Its a matter of etiquette, you're a dude so I don't exactly expect you to grasp that quickly. It's cool.

Ok, I don't know how those of you in California treat your cows, though the latter statement is a seemingly ominous insight into that, but we have plenty of farms in Northern and Central Michigan that cater directly to beef cows. Not a whole lot of dairy farms around here, or at least none that I've seen or can remember off of the top of my head. All of these animals have ample grazing room, hay bales spread throughout the pastures, and are allowed to walk about where ever they please. Now, when it comes for slaughter time? That's a completely different story. It's a very frightening thing to witness, even just the coralling of the animals. They're all in a panic, bottle-necked down and down until they're in single-file to then go into the 'processing stages'. So yeah, I'm not saying that all farms are like this. I'm sure there are a bunch of sick bastards out there (like veal farmers) that just have cows in pens with no room, feeding them steroids and other vitamins and nutrients with little to no consumption of actual food and only being given water laden with chemicals to boost muscle growth.

meeze said:

I can't really speak from the perspective of someone that has grown up, consuming the flesh of canines. I do not eat veal, because of the conditions in which the calves are placed. I do not eat from popular 'Chicken' resturants either, due to the way they treat the animals that provide them with their product staple. I actually buy from a local deli, whose poultry is provided directly from MI farmers. They list the locations of the farms, so if I really did want to go see how they raise their animals, I could. I would never eat dog, and though I know its a complete culture difference, but I never would. Even if offered, starving to death. It's a DOG for christsakes.

No, you're right, a large portion of the shows were filmed in both NY and the D, with a light sprinkling of other areas (I believe they had 1-2 episodes in Miami and L.A.). I agree with you, that the media is making it to be a bigger issue than it probably would have been had they not been involved (ie. Strid's post). Thing is, he SHOULD be punished this severely. The punishment fits the crime in my eyes.

Since I know neither of us are trying to boast how awesome and politically correct our cities are, I'm really not going to dwell on this much longer. If we have similar crime rates, I'm not sure who I should be scared more for. My ass or yours. The news is all over Detroit because we have 'winning' teams. We hosted the Super Bowl, we're trying to take this huge jump out of the sewer on little midget legs. They've been trying to improove the outlook on our city for years, and they make a huge, obsessing deal (as I think befits it) about cases like this. Its horrible, anyone will agree to that, but it is not a crime to go unpunished. The media here RIPS the mayor for allowing such bullshit to continue; hence the rumors. He's a fuckbag anyways, don't get me started on that.

So I post a lot, where did I make the statement that I don't? Point it out to me and I will surely recant it. I have a crap job, that has ridiculous amounts of downtime. I'll look around, PM my friends and post on topics I find interesting or have an opinion on. Most of all, I like reading peoples posts. Usually, I like reading yours. You put up a good argument most of the time.

Ok, I can agree that speaking about the impact this is going to have for the Falcons this season, is something that for sure would be included into the discussion. It's almost necessary, because its part of the consequences for his actions. He's letting down thousands of fans, because he's a fucking moron. However, brining up Jim Kelly, Aikmen and some hack Grossman or w/e the fuck his name is, to compare points? No real reason for that to be here. You're just as bullheaded as I am, if you weren't, we wouldn't be continuing this conversation now would we?

The way things work in this county is we have laws if you break them you must be ready to accept the consequence's. Yes some times the law looks the other way. Yes sometimes you don't get caught. Are some laws stupid? Yes again. If you choose to break any of them you have to be ready to accept the consequence's of your actions.

Vick knew this was against the law he should be ready to accept the consequence's. If he didn't want this to happen the simple answer is to not break the law. You are right they are probably going after him because he is so famous. Being so famous he should have known he would be watched carefully and people would be ready to jump on any little thing he does.

He broke the law and he was stupid about it. Now he is going to face the consequences. I don't feel sorry for his stupidity one bit. There are plenty of laws that I feel are stupid but I follow them because I don't want to face the consequence's that are possable if I don't. He really choose to put the Falcons in a great position.

Its not a high horse dude, its common courtesy. Leave old shit in the past where it belongs. Its a matter of etiquette, you're a dude so I don't exactly expect you to grasp that quickly. It's cool.

It's putting things in perspective for you about how easy it is for someone to say they are a girl. I figure everyone is a guy till I see their tits, and I've seen no ones tits, cause i'm not into elations.

They list the locationsof the farms, so if I really did want to go see how they raise their animals, I could. I would never eat dog, and though I know its a complete culture difference, but I never would. Even if offered, starving to death. It's a DOG for christsakes.

Ok, you are one of how many people that dont shop at the kosher butchers, or w/e they are called. The majority of the people in this country get their meats from unkown farms. A lot of meat comes from outsided countries, like Brazil to name one. We have no idea how those cows are dealt with. One of Veganisms biggest ideas is that the animals are treated so inhumanly, that is why they dont eat meat.

It's cool you keep skirting the issue, and setting yourself apart from everyone else, but the majority of the people could give a shit less where their double quarter pounder came from. A lot of those people are also looking for Vick to hang for this, when they participate (albiet unknowingly...I'm sure somewhere in their conscious they know) in the same, if not worse kind of acts.

No, you're right, a large portion of the shows were filmed in both NY and the D, with a light sprinkling of other areas. I agree with you, that the media is making it to be a bigger issue than it probably would have been had they not been involved (ie. Strid's post). Thing is, he SHOULD be punished this severely. The punishment fits the crime in my eyes.

Should and the status quo are two entirely different things. He is going to be persecuted because he's micheal vick, not the atroscity of his crime. As you've seen, those people rarely get any time, and the fines are ridiculously small. Vick, if convicted, I'm expecting to see with a near maxed out sentence, although I can also see a heavy fine, and a suspended prison term. His celebrity may play a factor on keeping him out of jail so long as he doesn't fuck up anymore.

Only brought it up becase you were telling us how socially conciuos your area is.

You put up the whole "i have a life, you're a loser cause you troll here" argument up, just had to let you know you've been trolling as hard, if not harder for the last 40+ days. And most people like reading my posts until I'm after them, then they start turning my posting style on me like a weapon: You're so mean, an asshole, you pick on people, blah blah blah, well I haven't changed, and you knew how I was, but you decided to put on the gloves anyway. I'd say you're just as much to blame for what I say to you as anyone, you knew what was coming, you could of just walked away and been the bigger person, but you walked straight into what I enjoy doing most on this forum, and that is talking shit.

Obviously did a good job, because you ran to the mods to have my posts deleted lol.

Well, when people started calling Vick a shit quarterback, I had to bring up examples of players who have rejuvenated their careers after a change of scenery, so I brought up a bunch of players there.

I'd also like to bring up the fact that when Kobe was on trial for raping a girl, he was never asked to step down from the Lakers, or even looking at getting suspended by the league. The fact that Vick will be suspended if convicted should be enough for people, and he may not even need to be convicted to be suspended because the Comissioner has hired an investigator to find out how strong this case will be, and possibly take early action.

Not sure why seeing someones tits would be an 'elation' but hey, w/e you want. I know I'm a chick.

I will concur that a lot of people (probably most) do not know or care where the meat their eating in their burger at their sick fast-food chain resturant came from, or how it was treated. I however, like to know these things. I'm not one of those ridiculous anti-hunting, free-range beef onry type of people. If I'm out to dinner with people, or at someones house, I dont quiz them on where their food originated from or be such a stuffy bitch as to downright refuse hospitality. What I do, is what I do. What other people do, is their business. I am not a vegan, or a vegitarian. While I like my share of leafy greens, I do definitely like red (and white) meat. Except pork, bleh, too fatty. Kosher butchers... I can't really bitch. Its a religious thing. They hang the animal upside down (after already dead, fresh of course) and slit its throat to completely remove all blood from the system. Not... really that big of a deal.

He should be persecuted because he's involving himself in criminal acts, not because he's Michael Vick, but because he's no better than anyone else. Fuck status quo. He should get time, he should serve, and so far (as I've just read The Sporting News while I was at home for my lunchbreak) I believe his fines are already up to $350,000 if I remember correctly. Certainly that is considerably more than any piece of shit in the D would end up paying, but I think that it should be a standard. You fuck up like this, you pay until you're done. With time, with money and with your conscience.

Lol, only towards this specific type of case. Of course the girl found dead under the docks in the Rouge Industrial District is still unsolved. Then there's the drive-by shooting last week and 2 weeks ago a hit-and-run killing a 9 year old boy after dragging him over 100 feet... Yeah, socially concious...

I didn't go running at all. You can point that at someone else. Your threads, and mine alike, were deleted for inappropriate content. I am on the boards when I'm at work, and I can honestly say this right now... I do not fear you, your posts or anything that you say. I don't think you're particularly mean, but you seem to try to come off in a brutish way like 'Yeah, what now?!' and it just doesn't work for me. I put the gloves on because I know what I can do, are you man enough to step out of the ring now? Or are you going to keep standing there nursing that shiner? You're not the only one that likes to talk shit honey, trust me.

That Kobe thing was bullshit from the start. That had 'Trailer park trash drama' written all over it. His wife is hot, and that hotel chick was mediocre on a good day, if I was blind-folded. Vick has already apologized to the team owner, I don't know about the commision of the NFL itself. I have seen pictures of the Surry estate, and there are doghouses piled up on top of one another, its really terrible. If the NFL decides to take early action, thats fine, thats their thing. But thats a little more 'Guilty until proven innocent' to me, which I dont exactly agree with. They should wait, in my opinion, but hey, its his ballgame.

Right, we covered this. The majority of the people, especially in this thread are part of the meat industries consumer base, an industry that is well known for its inhumane treatment of animals.

He hasn't been fined yet because he hasn't gone to court...

You sure were screaming bloody murder at that sexist comment, even after I told you i figured you were a male. Why would anyone fear my posts lol. You "put the gloves on" when you were stunned by the fact that someone would talk shit to you.

As I said earlier, there is a HBO special about dog kennels, and those places make Vick's place look like doggy paradise. I didn't see a huge uproar over it...guess no one famous owned that place.
