As I said earlier, there is a HBO special about dog kennels, and those places make Vick's place look like doggy paradise. I didn't see a huge uproar over it...guess no one famous owned that place.

The local law was doing nothing about it, it took HBO sending a man undercover for a long time to get in good with the owners and get hired to uncover everything going on.

Yes police will be lenient with things. They also can't force a search unless there is a warrant. The cop can ask permission for a search, but you can say no then they can't do shit past that until they get a warrant because there is probable cause. If a cop pulls someone over for marijuana usage it's either gets thrown on as a misdemeanor on top of another misdemeanor such as speeding. The D.E.A probably busted the night club for selling more than the legal amount in the state of California to people.
