MMA

I don't even know what to talk about first. I guess to start WAR SHOGUN MOTHER FUCKERS. Glad Shogun finally has the belt he deserves and the praise he has earned.

WEC 48 was an ill card. Aldo is staying on top for awhile, dude's striking is sick and I hear his BJJ s even better. Sad to see Mike Brown knocked out like that too. I got an ill Korean Zombie T-shirt too, the one Dana White was wearing at the weigh-ins.

Last Strikeforce was interesting to say the least with that brawl. Jake Shields showed me he is legit. He came back from being within an inch of losing to dominate for 4 rounds. I guess time has finally caught up with Hendo and though he is still great, he isn't the same Hendo I knew and loved from PRIDE.

Smart move by Daley last night...good job.

Don't really know who Shogun will fight. He beat rampage quite fast the first time they met and I don't see rashad giving him problems even with his strong wrestling.

Was really looking forward to Forrest v Lil Nog, pissed that changed. I really really really want to see Anderson v. Shogun and see Shogun knock Anderson the fuck out. Hope Chael beats Anderson and if not than I know Vitor will.

Excited to see Ubereem fight again, and pass those piss tests! I'm still unsure of who will win when he fights Rogers. Overeem has gained some nasty skills over the past few years, but has been known to crumble after receiving a hard shot and Rogers does have legit KO power. Also really excited to see Roger Gracie fight since he is one of the best grapplers in the world. Also excited for Arlovski to make his comeback, and to see Jacare fight. If Jake Shields is leaving Strikeforce I would love to see Jacare v. Shields before Shields goes.

Necro bump since haven't been posts in awhile but OH SHIT FEDOR LOST LOL. Time for Carwin to step it up as the number 1 HW in the world tomorrow. I like Brock too, being from MN and all, but I think Carwin is a little bit more of an exciting fighter and seems like a real cool guy. I'll be happy as long as its a good fight. A little disappointed about the Sexiyama and V.Silva fight fallin apart, and I really don't like Leban, so I hope Sexy kicks his ass.

Also since it hasn't been posted, lol@bj. Frankie looked good, and hes getting a rematch coming up, but BJ just didn't look as good as he had in his last few fights. Don't really care about Silva/Sonnen, i'm sure Sonnen will get destroyed especially if Silva brings out his A game in light of his last shit fight. Or maybe it'll be Fedor 2 and the way underdog will pull off some crazy shit, which might not be bad either. Might give Silva some motivation to stop acting like a douche.

Either way I'm pumped for the fights tomorrow. Should be solid.

First off anyone who talks lightly of Werdum's groundgame is simply a fool. The dude is the best BJJ HW on the planet and he proved it against Fedor. Fedor got too eager and tried to go in for the kill too fast, while this is exactly what Werdum wanted. I was really impressed with Werdum and knew the only way he would win is if he somehow got the fight to the ground and he did just that. That said I expect Fedor to take it in a rematch by just forcing the fight to stay standing.

Brock and Carwin showed me that while they are huge prospects, they both lack the skills and experience to really tale over as the new generation. Brocks standup needs a lot of work, but his heart is undeniable at this point and I think he showed a lot of people that he is in it for more than just the money. Carwin put on a great fight, he just gassed himself as anyone would who was throwing that much power and strikes for that long. I think with more control he will be able to finish the fight next time.

Pumped for the 117 card. Some sick fights on it and I'm hoping that Silva shuts sonnen up. Dude has been talking shit about legendary fighters with no reason for it. I know he wants to hype the fight, but stick to your fucking opponent.

Did anyone catch UFC118?

Good fights! I was quite entertained with the BJ fight, liked seeing him get picked apart. Does anyone else notice he seems to be a bit spoiled almost? Like once he realizes he can't get much done he just throws in the towel like a whiny baby.

And MMA vs. Boxing, how many people are fucking delusional about WHY Coutre won. Simple, he fought a man who was too stubborn to train. 9 months of training and you would think they hit the local cafe instead of training. They knew who he was fighting, and they did nothing to train against someone who's been wrestling for 40 years? Seriously, what a laugh.

Long and short, a smart MMA fighter isn't going to stand against a boxer who has been beatin' for so long he's too dumb to get knocked out. However, James did get hurt. Thinner gloves =)

BJ needs to stop training in Hilo. He just gets pampered and his head inflates. He needs to go back to the marinavitch(sp?) brothers camp and get some real training in, without doing that I doubt he ever gets back on top. I just think toney was there for a quick payday. He isn't getting anymore big boxing paydays so he decided to come into mma and got over a mil for 3 mins of doing nothing. Toney knows how to sell a fight and he made a good amount of money doing just that.

At least the dolt made me laugh, Joe Rogan asked him whether he would work on his ground game and he said his ground game was fine lol.

BJ is annoying me now. I mean the shit talk comes with the territory, but we know he could step it up and bring back some excitement. He's just pissing in the wind.
