What was that one with the million dollar prize for a PVP competition or something?
That's one for the list.
It was some semi-big MMO. It had a low level cap, and I think the same publishers published Advent Rising (the same reason I think the 1mil prize fell through for both of them).Rappelz or Silkroad? Both of them get kinda lame over time.
I think Second Life should be on the list. Even though it has millions of people on it, just look at the graphics and animation...looks like total ass.
Star Wars Galaxies.

The Matrix Online.

Dungeons & Dragons Online.
All I'll say to that is "grrr", since I'm not gonna harp about how cool Guild Wars really is.
I thought the purpose of this thread is to indicate the MMO's that really freakin' bombed in terms of userbase and such, not just based on personal preference? Maybe I misread the context.
I think it might be premature to say that LOTR:O is outta the picture, since they're really only about 1/8th into the whole story. I think it was about three or four months post-release until Guild Wars really took off, too.
Truth be told, I want to give LOTRO a shot, if only for my humongous fandom.
I guess it might be a bit early to count it out, but at this rate, it is going no where fast.
Which is sad; most of the folks I know who play it (real-life friends) say it's really a decent game.
