Herro all!

In order to expand my portfolio professionally, I've decided to dabble in the sig biz~ I am, however, not here to compete against Isoll, Skanya, Temptations, or anyone else who does art work for Quetz viewers. The sigs I make are more simple in design but are complex in frame capturing and layouts.

I will take requests for sigs but these sigs are not easy and require more time. The sigs are not QCDN friendly either, they are way too large.

Round #1
Character motion ~ 76 Frames
Total frames ~ 175
Programs used ~ Model Viewer, Flash CS3, Photoshop CS3 extended.

I can build you a sig, but as i stated earlier, it would not be qcdn compatible. the maximum space alloted for a sig is 58.6 KB... the sig shown is 1.4MB and the smallest size i can get it to is 644KB so ... ya. Unless using for another website or personal amusement, it's not worth a whole lot. But I will work on yours as soon as Isollde's is finished.

haha cool, idc if it's qcdn compatible, your's just looks soo cool i have to get one!!!!!!!! lol

It looks nice. The only thing I'd say is you might want to watch your characters feet, they slide around inconsistently with his actions. You have to make sure that each frame of your animated sequence is placed perfectly over the previous one exactly, otherwise you get the inconsistent slide.

Also, for a signature it looks a little nicer when it's a looping animation with no stopping point and restarting point. But that's just my personal preference.

Keep it up ^^

lol if GIFs could read action script properly i could do alot more in animation, footing was off because i only do these at night during graveyard shift. So I'm usually half awake half tired. Also alot of changes i had to do from my normal flash works. Isollde's is turning out to be more complicated and continuous loops are cool and all but so are endings =o

Question for you, what did you use for image capturing?

I use Modelviewer like you do to set up the animations, but I have found that in order to take screen captures using the Modelviewer program, you have to click in the viewer window each time before you hit F11 to take the screencap, and this usually makes the character move ever so slightly, ruining the entire animation sequence and making it slide. So what I do is take a regular windows screen captures (ctrl + printscreen) and open it up in Photoshop, then advance the animation in Modelviewer by 1 frame, then do it again and again until the entire sequence is captured. Then in Photoshop, place each screen cap inone file on top of each other in separate layers, then make a group out of all of the layers, then crop out all the other background stuff (leaving only the character and the solid color background) from the entire group. That way it does the exact same thing to each frame while only having to do it once, and they are all exactly the same.

Then, all that you have to do is delete out the solid background color (using Select > Color Range > click the background color with the eyedropper > set the fuzziness to 200 > click ok > then press delete) for each frame. Then just bring in the Photoshop file into ImageReady and make your animated gif.

Isollde's Sig

Sorry this took me awhile to do because of design blocks. The green kinda pixilates like the rest of the sig. But that comes with using Gifs... the swf file looks soo much better.

On a side note, I'm posting the recents via my website, so if theres a pink background such as the redone version of my sig, well now you know why.

Moink Sig, redone.

Redone... curved the border and made the foot work more stable enjoy.

Was bored and wanted a new sig... enjoy

Seems to have a transperancy issue but meh... i'll work on it later.

Was 4 pages beneath old layers of dust... had to go indiana jones style and start trying to figure out why it was so far deep (Cus I haven't touched it in so long :awesome: )

The character also has a box around him as well but I know they were PNGs when I transferred them into Flash... Maybe i'll have to sacrifce even more color and go all transparent gifs...

These are Awesome! If your having trouble with the white boxes, you could try saving the character images before hand as a .png. or gif then import it for use, I'm not sure if it will work, but its something i'd try if I was having trouble. Unless its nice and just lets you import the .psd don't remember if macromedia and adobe were able to do that or not. ( I think they worked all that out in recent programs..) If it by chance does, i don't see it giving you trouble then since it would be in a raw format with no other file format pre-determined. I know fade its always throw it for a loop.

Thats the problem... they are PNGs when I save them... I don't understand why flash isn't understanding it... Also... Adobe sadly bought out Macromedia, so now Adobe programmers got their nasty hands all over Macromedia's wonderful code! ;-;

You should try "Adobe Image Ready" for animating the frames. You can set the pace for each frame, even make it pause if you'd like and it doesn't effect the file size. You can also dither the output, it's very good at maintaining good quality while the file size is reduced. If you have Photoshop you'll most likely see Image ready already installed.
