More update info - Fishing and Valentines day event.

New update info posted to the main page on POL.

Fishing:
The fishing system is scheduled for some major improvements.
Here is an outline of the changes you can expect to see.

* New action-oriented system

-The rod will begin to shake wildly when something takes the bait.

-Countering the movement of the rod will reduce the stamina of your intended catch.

-A catch is best reeled in when its stamina is close to zero, so much more attention is required when compared to the current fishing system.

-In accordance with these changes, fishing skill will rise at twice the rate of the current system.

* Strengthening of lower-level fishing rods

-Lower-level rods such as the willow rod will become much more durable.

-Other new characteristics will determine the type of rod best suited for catching certain types of fish.

* Increased effects of fishing skill

-The method for comparing fishing skill and the level of the fish will be improved, making it easier for those with higher fishing skill to catch high-level fish.

* Other changes

-Everyone will gain a new "fishing instinct."

-The "instinct" of those with higher fishing skill will be more accurate.

they are like.. giving us a new expansion with this O.O I'm happy to hear this'll be a big update coming up ^^ (mostly cause Maseki said we'll be hunting Vivian a lot during that time so we can get our mages a Vivian ring. It's Serket Ring but lvl 61 and Rare/ex version)

With either cries of gratitude or whispers of hidden love, now's the time for you to step up and open your heart! And what a better way to say "I love you" than with a one-of-a-kind present crafted with your own two hands, kupo?

Huh? You're not sure what would make the perfect gift? Well, don't fret, because the Moogles of the Mog House Management Union (MHMU) recently gathered and decided we'd do our best to help our masters out, kupo! Soon, we'll be sending a special crystal to the delivery box of every adventurer in Vana'diel. By using this crystal during synthesis, you'll be able to carve your name right into the finished product, kupo!

Once you've done that, all that's left is for you to take your gift to that "special someone," and let your heart do the rest, kupo!

About items sent from the Mog House Management Union (MHMU)
- The moogles are sending a special crystal to each
adventurer. It may take time for the special crystals to
arrive, so please be patient.

- The Mog House Management Union (MHMU) will send special
crystals only to characters created before Feb. 4 2005.

No /random!!!! Its bullcrap too. My mule gets an Earth crystal. Thats the one I wanted, but my main, gets a Dark, which I have no use for whatsoever.

They are rare/ex. Of course, if you have a guild contract you can get any of these crystals you want whenever you want them...
