good Good GOOD! I quit fishing after spending 3 freakin hours in E. Ronfaure and not getting a SINGLE .1 at fishing lvl 13 (every fishing guide I've seen says E. Ronfaure is the place to be at that level) Maybe now I'll actually start lvling fishing again.
 
can you just keep the crystal until you have a high enough crafting skill to make something useful? all my skills are 0, i need to get into crafting. i think i will do leatherwork. i have made a few bronze daggers and sold them at the ah, i never did much crafting besides that. i was just leveling and dying. which i was lucky with the leveling, most of the times i could find a good party in the dunes and lvl. eh, i am still a noob i guess, only lvl 18 with my main haha.

and now time to quit rambling...
 
Yes, you can keep the crystals. They're the same crystals you get from having a guild contract. They're Ex though, which I think sucks.

I haven't gotten my crystal on Swishiee yet, but my two mules have already gotten theirs. Hopefully mine will come soon, since Swish has all the crafting skills.
 
bah... what can a twilight crystal be used to make? anyone? is there a crystal i can use to sign an item i already have, cuz thats what i really wanna do... SE should of just maxed out everyones crafting skills for one try at something along w/ handing out the crystals.. now that wouldve been really nice!!!
 
I got a dark crystal which I can't use untill lvl 80-90. :evil:

There is no point in holding them, if your craft is 100 for goodness' sakes I'd hope you would have guild points by then. I agree, a pretty useless event since there are not a lot of crafters comparably. Most people can't craft anything worthwhile, some can't even do anything at all because of the crystal they got. Oh well.

You'd think they would have moogles out giving crystals, and moogles in towns giving out various random items that you can use the crystals on to make stuff. The crystals should be pink with hearts on them, the items you can make should be like "Firework" type items in the form of greeting cards that when used says "<namefromcrystal> loves you <me>." ect or something.. "Box of chocolate" food item that can be used several times and randomly gives out effects... ect..

Would be pretty cool to have "love lockets", a neck item where if you used it like an enchantment item it would show "firework style" the maker in a pose, you know like /sit, /laugh, /wave whatever.

Would of made it more interesting... though I really don't care.. Sanjo be pimp but Sanjo no have honey.. -(;_;)-
 
I made a Silver Hairpin and I'm torn ATM. I don't know to give it to a new hume sweetee who could use it...

...or give it to an old friend/enemy who hates me over an incident involving silver...

I'm leaning towards the former, as the latter might just toss it. :cry:
 
I have a question involving signing items. Is it possible to commision someone to craft something for you, but sign your name on it instead of theres? Or is the only thing that can be signed the crafters name?

Nope, they can only sign their own name.
 
I got a glacier crystal. I think I am gonna make some signed Selbina butter and rub it all over myself in celbration of Valentines day! Thank SE for the oportunity to rub lubricants with my name on it all over myself. :lol:


One thing I do have to question is why do I need a special crystal to write my name in food..... Can't I just use my finger or some other pointy thing to write in it? :?

Actually, my Ninja got a JP party, and since I make silver hairpins for mages I gave it to the leader. Even with that and the ingot I had onhand I didn't have enough to make every mage a hairpin.

I hope she keeps it. :oops:
