Acutie i said mpk'ing during nm camping isnt cool. I just said that people shouldnt get so worked over there xp pts getting mpk'd. You guys are taking what I said to a new degree and Im sorry for all the confusion.

Oh and i dont think my being lvl 45 drg means that i havent been in many pt's. I've been in just as many pt's as anyone else my level. Its just that it took longer to get to where I am.

Dont get all pissy and say your day is ruined because of an mpk. There is really no reason because freaking out about it will just make it worse for you. Just get on with and laugh it off is all i'm saying. Who cares if you lose an hour of gameplay? Most of you have lost a 100 days to this game what is another hour. Your still going to play the next day so dont act like that one hour is going to be anything new. Really all the mpk'ing is doing is a sense of struggle throughout the game in my opinion. This is how i feel dont jump on my ass for feeling that way.

Also you guys are saying its wrong because gm's will ban you for it? Who the fuck cares what the gm's think. The only time you should worry about the gm's is if you get caught doing something which you shouldnt if you do it right.

What was the XP scale at 45? I dont think I lost to much because I didnt mind Bloodporting at that level. Then you start getting the jumps after G1 and it becomes a HUGE friggin deal. Thats what he isnt seeing. You dont just loose 500xp after a while because someone wants to be a dick, you start loosing 1 and 2k xp per death. Then what do you have? Any Idea how long it takes to get 14k xp let alone 20+k. Every death sucks that much more and if it is because some dingleberry is having a bad day, then that is officially horse shit.

NM camping and XP parties. Yes, getting MPKed while camping an NM is more frustrating, but it's still the same shit. Some ass comes along and kills you and your party or alliance. It's not cool, period. You seem to think it is though. Fuck you and those that agree with you.

I haven't lost 100 days to this game. Another hour does bother me. I probably won't play the next day because I don't have that kind of time. If I had no life outside of FFXI, then maybe this wouldn't be as big a deal for me. The bottom line is that it's still a shitty thing to do to someone, but you seem to think it's just fine so long as those people aren't camping NMs.

I'm all for GMs banning the people who MPK. They'll only be getting rid of the assholes anyway. I don't think the fact that you'll get banned makes it wrong. You can make your own decisions. You're scum enough to do it, or you're not. It's that simple. To say there is no reason to worry about it, just because you don't get caught, is as dumb as everything else you've said.

Personally, I vote for the move to FB. As civil as this discussion is, I think it's on thin ice anyway. Feed Xena to the FB.

You're playing FFXI and you think, hmmm today would be a good day to go and solo some exp in (imagine you're level 60) Garlaige Citadel.
Oh look another Drg is soloing here, /wave Waylander.

Remember you're a nice guy minding your own business, but I'm a self obsessed asswipe who doesn't give a shit about your enjoyment of the game as long as you're not competition for me, so i come along with a beetle while you're fighting another one, I super jump let the wyvern take hate and warp out.

So now you're left low on mp with a fresh beetle and you're probably going to die.

So you lose the 1500xp, lose your food, lose your buffs, lose any one off items you may have active at the time, and worst of all for a Drg you lose your wyvern, if the timer's not up your soloing is over until it is, and then you have to HP back to jeuno and run all the way back.

Now maybe you're some kind of saint and it wouldn't bother you, but I'd be bitching about it for hours.

And it's often the case that peple tend to talk a lot of shit on boards anyway, In all likelyhood you would be pissed off whether you say it here or not.

I used to camp lizzy using my lower thf when my drk was in the 60s. I still need to camp sometime for the rare/ex version. If I could just kill ppl Id just use my drk, kill any lowbie who got claim and get the lizard everytime till it dropped XD

if se do make a open pvp, i don't think you will have unevenly match like lv20 vs lv.75 hehe

they will either level restrict your level to the level arond that match with your your oponent

if they can do unfair match, I would like to be the first one to kill all gilseller like 10 vs 1

actually how many game do pvp servers is if you out in the world your fair game. city is a safe zone you cant be harm in them. on other servers they have pvp area and consent match meaning you ask the other person if they want to duel.

Just a simple question here. Why does everyone have such a huge problem with mpk's? It's not that big of a deal really. Wow he killed us and were going to lose xp. Lemme go slit my wrists. MPK'ing during a god fight or hnm fight isnt cool however...but still. To me mpk'ing someone's xp pt is pretty much just like punching your college roomy in the arm. No harm done really.

This is the most retarded thing i've seen all day. It's a big deal because if I'm out in an XP pt, the LAST thing i'm fucking interested is is having MY time or MY Parties time WASTED because some bored fucking numnuts teeny-bopper decided to amuse himself by Training into my group.

If you dont mind having your time or efforts interefered with by total random strangers, or vengeful children, thats fine, whatever floats your boat. But to say that you can't comprehend why Other people might not actually Like this sort of thing, well, thats either super naieve or totally ignorant.

MPK sucks because some people don't have hours and hours to play so the 3 hours they had to play is now as productive as 2.5 hours because some retard's five minutes of fun. Why wouldn't I be mad? I have to repeat what I've done for the past half hour or more because someone wanted to have five minutes of fun?

Actually, let's rephrase that and we'll use an exp party as the example.
- six people lose about a half hour.... if not more, repeating what they just did.
- one person gets... 5 minutes of fun.
3 hours-ish of repeated xp for some loser's five minutes of fun? Oh yah, I don't see why people wouldn't get upset.

AND THIS IS IF YOU HAVE A COMPETENT PARTY. If you have people in your party who aren't up to par, this will probably be a lot longer than 30 minutes. If there's no one to raise you, this will be longer than 30 minutes.

And there's the MPK where you can't kill the mob because the MPK-er has the mob targeted.....oh, you can't kill what's killing you.... hmm.. sounds like fun.
