Agreed. It's a tough place to exist. If we had trust it would be much easier to accept the government's words as gospel. Why should we trust the words of the people that entertain frivilous lawsuits and change what this country has always been to suit the needs to of few that complain?
What about the masses that liked things the way they were?
At times, it definitely seems that the government is not "with" the people...That they are there, existing almost completely to bend us as far as they can without breaking us, like we're their current study group.
It definitely seems like there's an easier way.
It might sound communist, but they should be harder on the frivilous lawsuits, like the one where the lady wouldn't remove her burka for a driver's lisence picture. "Lady, it's fucking I.D. That's the way we do it. Take off the fancy mask and take the picture or we put you in a cannon and shoot your fat ass into the ocean." Why entertain that woman? Laugh at her. We would do well to take a page from other countries off-the-books laws. OR just listen to the masses. If it really was "We the people", we would not represent so many concerns from a minority that merely complains about our current laws because they're "offended" by them. "Excuse me, lady. Why do you live here?" "Show this bitch the door, please." She deserves nothing more, and the same goes for anyone who doesn't have a decent reason for taking up the time of our courts' judges.
The day this country has a vote that matters, I'll show up. For now, writing various senators does only two things: Jack and shit, aside from get me a nice letter back from their secretaries, letting me know how important my opinion is.
