MW2

Ya talking about those people who can't hit shit with a gun, so they just run around with the launcher...straight at you suicide style. It's irritating when you kill them as they come at you but the 'nade was already fired and lands up your nose after the fact.

Just went on a 21 win streak with a group of friends today, was pretty fun. I've been rockin the 50 cal heartbeat sensor/silencer, with a TMP side also silenced. And I'm lovin it, this being in hardcore. I basically snipe and keep an eye on the sensor if someone comes close. Then whip out the tmp and mow em down. Sometimes I'll just sprint around with the tmp as if it's a mini uzi and rack up some kills.

My ratio is sittin at 1.45 at the moment, which is irritating me cause I almost always get a 2. + ratio each game. But it's rising, I just hurt it pretty bad when I was learning the game.

i love me some M240 or AUG hbar, i almost feel like rambo using a light machine gun to mow down enemies lol

for rifles i stick to the ACR or my trusty M4A1

i have a different secondary for each profile too, so i can go anti air if i need to or if i need a boomstick (striker is my favorite) i have em

my k/d ratio is at .74 iirc, i'm more of a runner and gunner so i have my games where i can get a nice kill streak or a death streak

Btw, they patched the javelin and care package glitches today, now i can finally play again.

Car Package glitch still works, I used it this mornin'. They did fix the Javy glitch though, but that caused an even worse problem... it broke the 3rd person playlist. Now every time my team searches we end up in some kind of Groundwar Private Match, it's really gettin' annoyin'.

As for secondary weapons, I love the Striker. I even have a set-up JUST for it. It is Marathon, Lightweight, and Ninja/Commando (all pro). I also have a Cold-Blooded class with a Stinger set up so those pesky air supports are not so pesky. I prefer the Stinger to the Javelin as it is quicker in lock-on and time it takes to get to its target. Before I prestiged I had a build that absolutely wrecked, especially in objective modes. It was AR w/ FMJ, RPG-7, Scavenger, Danger Close, Commando and depending on the gametype either Claymores or a Tact. I can't wait to get back my RPG-7 and get this build goin' again'. Nothing like hearing, "We're loosing C" and shoot a rocket on it and kill 2-3 goons.

As for my K/D ratio it keeps bouncin' back and fourth from 2.25 and 2.27. I was aimin' for a 2.3 but I think in order to get that I'd have to stop playin' my part objectively and I just can't see it bein' feasible for my team playin' like that. It's also not goin' to get me back to my RPG-7 any faster :D

I prefer the stinger also, javelin takes to long to take out the aircrafts.

Also I believe your k/d is really high because of third person. I've played it alot and my k/d is always way higher than it is in first person. I'm not really sure why.. just seems easier to own bitches. I actually like third person way more than I thought I would, but still would rather play first person.

Are the publishers giving you money to defend their game? No? Then stop arguing over about it, lol -- it's fucking stupid.

M4A1/ACR are rape assault rifles, they shred through anything. Akimbo G18s are also rape, as well as Akimbo 1887s (PIRATES).

K/D means nothing in this game like it did in COD4. There is so much more stuff you can die from or kill from in this game, that it just doesn't matter. I guarantee you that if you stop caring about your k/d ratio, you will have a lot more fun with this game.

Also, hardcore or gtfo <3

i read somewhere about an issue with k/d and 3rd person not being correct, i cant find the link atm tho. It was like a list of things some site wanted to see patched.
k/d does still mean something in this game tho, because anyone on my list that is under a 1.0 or just over it...certainly play like that. Everyone on my list thats at least a 1.5 are pretty damn good. tho i will say that care packages are the one thing that make it easier for people to rack up more kills than they normally would since they can give you kill streaks that you would otherwise have to earn, the only plus is that it wont add to their streak and help them get their later ones.
i personally only use care packages when i prestige since thats the default before you can start unlocking streaks. once i can unlock its always predator missle, harrier, chopper gunner. Unless im going nuke, then its harrier, chopper, nuke. I generally never have a problem reaching my streaks. 95% of the time i always go positive, i have barely scratched 8000 deaths and im already around 15k kills. 80% of the time i dont even hit double digit deaths. and i never camp.

as for the care package glitch, it is patched. I tried it today and it doesnt work anymore, you can only get one care package per kill streak reached for it now.

Oh, I forgot about that one. I was referring to the CP glitch where you move like a friggin' speed demon.

As for my K/D, it is correct, I mean you can't really mess up the math on 10,746/4784 (2.24) unless you are some kind of special.

Ice, I dunno about your take either. Everybody seems to forget that everyone else has the same opportunities that everyone else does. So you can't really say it is -just because- I play in that playlist. That's kind of like sayin' someone who only plays Sabotage only has a higher K/D than someone who plays TDM because he plays in a playlist with an objective item. I contribute my K/D ratio to playin' on a team who knows how to play, EVERY GAME I play. I only played with randoms probably the first few days I had the game, I think I met these guys around rank 35.

Ele, it does matter if people want it to matter. People have their different reasons for playin' a game. For me, I play MW2 to win and have a beast K/D spread at the end of the round so the other them knows who slapped them around (considering I properly play the objectives it is a double wammy as opposed to had I camped). I don't play for laughs and pie, probably why I don't like CoD games no more than I do. When I'm playin' CoD my serious face is usually on, until they broke the playlist yesterday. I'm diggin' the 12 man rust free-for-alls even though it kills your K/D somethin' fierce.

I'm just saying for some reason I seem to go far positive every time I play third person.. I realize everyone has that opportunity, but it just seems to be easy to me. And k/d matters to me the same as it did in cod4. To each his own.

so yeah those fucking boosting lobbies are main stream now, every damn game i tried to enter was a glitched boosting lobby, the first one i entered i didnt even know, i played that match for AN HOUR before i realized...hey...what the fuck is going on, this shit isnt ending?
then every time i tried after that it was one of those rooms.
Fix one thing, another major one appears. how long till this one gets patched!?

For anyone on PS3, when you go to play online, does it show all playlists as empty and 0 players online? My bro thought there was some kind of maintenance going on until he got into a match.

IW is trying to fix the boosting lobbies right now, they might be doing something to fix them as we speak

I don't really understand what a boosting lobby is.. I played maybe 10 or so games today, won them all.. Without anything odd. What is it?

A boosting lobby is when someone takes a private lobby and does something, i dont know what yet as i havent cared to know how, to put it so people can join as if it were a normal match making room.
So say your playing domination, which is the playlist that ive seen this done the most in, infact ive only seen it done here since you can set it to have a super high score.

Normally you can only have a total of 12 players in a domination game, but when you enter the boosting lobby you will see it can hold 18 players, sometimes it even says private match at the top of the screen instead of domination.
The game will go on forever unless someone gets a nuke, which may sound easy, but when almost every single one of these rooms is on the map RUST its not that simple.
very annoying to want to play domination and every damn room is a booster.

So basically its a never ending game? With no sort of glitches or anything? If it were team deathmatch I honestly would kinda like a never ending team deathmatch game..

what people will do is two of em will hide in a remote corner of a map and one will just keep dropping a tactical insert while the other will kill him to get his killstreak going

for what reason idk, for a challenge or for high xp i dk, you only get 350 xp for killing the entire other team so i dont think that they do it for high xp

Here is what it is at the very small core. When IW fixed the Javy and CP glitch, they somehow managed to break the games ability to distinguish private from public match. Then someone with more time on their hands than anyone could imagine figured out how to exploit this.

Here is how you do it:

Two dudes make a private match. Dude1 is the host and Dude2 is his buddy. They enter the private match and both join different teams. After the game begins Dude1 leaves his match (you have to find someone in-game and "Join Session in Progress", don't "End Game") and Dude2 is now the host. Dude2 now ends the match via the "End Game" option. When Dude2 hits the lobby he is now in control of the private match. He can either set it to allow people to join or be invite only. Idiots leaving it to allow people not join are the ones ruining the matchmaking for others, not the people who close their sessions to outsiders. At this point you can't change anything other than basic settings like to allow or not allow joining, etc. You can't change the map, gametype, etc. So if you wanna try this, you need to make your initial private match set to what you want the glitched one to be. Now all you need is people, a minimum of 6 is what it takes to begin, any fewer and it will not work. After you get your 6 people in Dude2 can start the game, but it is an unusual method of starting, far from the norm. You don't just go to "Start Game" you have to change your clan tag. After you change your clan tag you'll hear a weird noise when you press up and down and at that point you just hit "A" and the game begins.

As I said, if the person in control leaves the game open it gets thrown into public matchmaking. Also, the difference in player numbers isn't based off this glitch. That is simply the host of the game making it a Groundwar game instead of a standard game.

Since the entire 3rd person playlist is messed up with this, like the FPS Domination, some buddies and I did this the first night in order to keep our aim sharp. We did a never ending domination on Sub Base and made it Handguns only and 3rd person. We locked it though and did a private 6v6. I was Dude2 so I know this method works.

When we left the match, I think we played for about an hour and a half or two hours and about an hour in we got sick of killing and just started to trade cap B. I left with over 90k exp in score not including challenges. Trading caps on a flag eventually degrades to something like 30 points but you always get an additional +150 (though it wont pop up on your screen, but on the scoreboard it will show) for taking part in a flag cap. That is probably why so many people choose to use domination.

Ice, I agree with you on a never ending TDM. However, we wanted to try that and it wont work. TDM doesn't have an unlimited time AND score option like Domination.

This shit should have been fixed already. I thought this was a AAA title, silly me.
