Man some of you act like the mods and admins here are so fucking brutal. I know it has been said before but if you don't like it then click log out and don't return. You go to BG and you start posting stupid shit like this or start breaking the rules or starting fights with the mods and you will probably get banned no questions asked. Hell even alla bans people who post some stupid shit(sometimes...). The bottom line is that the mods and admins decide what goes on and could turn this whole site into a hello kitty site with just a small general discussion page for FFXI at the top and we would be powerless to stop them.

What i was pointing out was that people had information that was just as private as what i posted in their signatures which can be viewed on any board.

My point is that some of the information that is easily accepted in people's sigs were "intended to be private" as well yet my PM is continually removed.

I see, that's a bit different then I don't mean to sound redundant by saying something you already know but people are different than others; some people like others being all in their business or holding some sort of bomb waiting to detonate over their heads. You should always ask before posting things that aren't generally viewable by default to people, not everyone adheres to this common courtesy which can, depending on the content matter, spark mild reactions to wild ones.

Which would be why you ask first before posting it to reduce that chance signifigantly, granted not everything works out as planned.

I think it's about time this thread gets locked up. Yes, I am making that decision. I'm ready for things to move on. This time, it is me who is deciding this.

I, Miros, the one who has been keeping this board healthy for a while. The one who has been working quite a bit to get things fixed here. The one who is always trying to make both sides happy, am deciding that this thread is to be closed.

I'd like to point y'all back to a post I made a little while ago...

That being said, I will tell you that I am growing overly tired of people bashing the moderation team, calling us worthless, and feeling that we aren't doing anything of value. Most people wonder why we don't have mods that do much. I personally think it's partially my fault. I have done my best to give the users of QCDN the benefit of the doubt and put them over my own team. That won't be happening anymore.

Let me say this here, if you have a problem with the staff or any decision that was brought out, seek us out and speak to us. If you hold any animosity towards the staff and constantly post about our blunders and make sarcastic remarks, you are doing no help.

I let this thread go long enough. I did my best to be impartial and explain some items. However, there are always people that do their best to argue because that's what they feel this board is for.

Yes, I edited out the PM again. This is another decision of mine. Private messages are private. If anybody feels against this let me know. I'll be more then happy to install a hack that allows me to go through all of their PMs. And after I have done that, I'll be willing to put them into a usergroup that only allows them to have 2 private messages.

I know Dino can take care of himself. Hell, I'm sure there will be a bit of controversy with him, but I didn't ask him to join the team to be civil. I asked him to join the team because he's one hell of a son of a bitch. And quite frankly, it takes a real son of a bitch to be a successful moderator around here.

If you do not like the decision that's been set forth about private messages, then take a step back and realize what you have here. Anybody who spends as much time as they do in a flame like this make it obvious that they care about the site. I have done my best to stay out of a users business. I do not add myself randomly to usergroups to spy on their private forums, I do not have any type of means to read their PMs either. I attempt to respect the users. And this is the part where I humbly request that you all understand my humble request to keep private messages...private.

I have indeed deleted private message posts before and have done a great job in covering it up. It really was only a matter of time before something like this happened.

Irregardless, this flame is over with.
