Wow. I’ve been gone for a few months and come back, and read QCDN tonight for the first time in ages for something to do while FFXI has an update. I gotta say, Flameboards is such a ghetto. Who hangs around in here, I mean really?! It’s so surreal. I see Summoners get tea-bagged, can’t believe it. Been with his LS for a number of months and my only complaint about it would be: It’s Too Nice.
I’ve seen a lot of players, A LOT of players, get their items from Summoners’ LS and ditch the shell. Treat it like a stepping stone. We’ve had more than our share of exploitive players. It can be discouraging. Some probably leave for other reasons, who knows. I have generally tolerated the setback these players create for the LS simply because I have always liked to farm sky and run around up there. Nice leisure activity. I miss it - haven’t been up there since June. And well, the schedule suited me just fine, that’s the main thing. I waited my turn for A.Hands and eventually got them. I’m sorry I was off the game when Iheal (<3) needed his. I’ll just say there is no luck-charm to make your item drop swiftly - when it was my turn we handily killed Genbu a bunch of times with no A.Hands drop, so depressing! lol then after I got them, they dropped like rain and a bunch of people got them whether they were BLM or not. crap! haha
Meanwhile, this is what made me write. I learn that the laziest mouthiest most dramatic and afk WHM I have ever had the displeasure of working with recently took special care to try and remove me from the vicinity, but FAILED. I notice that he isn’t even listing WHM as one of his jobs, just THF and NIN. There’s your first clue as to his limp character, and I mean Personal Character, not game character.
I’m a 75WHM, 75 BLM, and 67BRD atm. When I was in the same LS as him, we were 75WHMs. He was always begging the shell for help getting items for his THF and NIN. During alliance activities that he’d show up for, for instance our sky God and farming runs, during runs for Rostrum Pumps, etc., I was usually vurry busy healing the party that HE was the WHM for, in other words, healing TWO parties, mine and his, keeping the alliance peeps healed up. (As you know this is not fun work - you have to type “/ta [name spelled EXACTLY right]” (which is only simple if the player’s name is Joe or Bob, but it’s frequently CHRYPTOSPERIDIUM or BLEEDINGMONKEY or some other really long name), as opposed to just pressing the F key for your own party members.) Plus, there I am taking /tells from the other mages who are surprised by this total BS, and like me were forced to cure his party members, we got kinda sick of it. There he was, a dipshit hume WHM just standing there, and we’re burning our MP curing up his party while he’s afk. This happened over and over and over again.
He always had plenty of time to brag, and insult and attack people, why isn’t he sticking around for the curing part?? No, he’d go afk and do who knows what. I complained to our leader about his conduct and attitude, who said I should just Blist him. Finally, I told the LS leader of that shell, I’m leaving because of him, and I did. It cost me plenty in terms of LS standing and points to leave! I didn’t want to leave, but he made my game experience totally unbearable. Stole evey happy moment I had, bitched that I got Nobles Tunic before he did, on and on. Such unrestrained arrogance and what a short attention span! *barf*
I easily found another shell (2006), and that shell broke and merged with Summoners’ about 7 weeks later, and I just stayed, no reason to leave. Now this player asks Summoners to dump me for him while I’m gone and not even around to defend myself? I am happy to say he didn’t get his way. But when he doesn’t get his way, he attacks Summoners. The news of this pisses me off. So uncalled for. But it’s not at all a surprise, knowing who he is: Give it a rest, Zaus. You're a big yawn. Quit inciting all that negative energy. UGH.
