Yeah that's right lol the Nintendo Entertainment System, I bought an original for $25 with 7 games. The system itself is in spectacular condition.

Now to go hunting for more gems!!

I'm not the only who still enjoys the pure entertainment value I get from these nostalgic items? I would like to get a Super N.E.S too.

1080 was the ultimate Super N.E.S game.

My NES and SNES are both still hooked up to a tv downstairs and they both work. Go find Battletoads if you want to play the hardest game evar.

This, but I advise you not to call a gamestop store or they will think you're trolling.

If you were planning on getting both nes and snes you should have just gotten the duo system that has both attached to it.

I love Battletoads.. jesus.. I haven't played that since.. I was 10.. yea wow lol.

I remember the racing in that, on those small hovercraft things.. that was impossible, with the barriers ! Ah.. I feel like a kid again hehe.

Nah. I have wanted to get them but hadn't even started looking. The N.E.S kinda found its way to me. A friend bought it with a number of games, he only bought it for the 1000 games n one and asked me if I wanted the system, so I offered him $25.

I liked Battletoads, but if you want true grittiness and those "bullet-sweating" moments, try River City Ransom, Renegade, or Bad Dudes.

i toke it a step farther and played pitfall yesterday

Good choice! ^^

I have NES/SNES/N64/Gamecube with close 300+ games for each. One of my favorite past times while shopping is searching for rare games.

EDIT: Make sure to buy Kings of the Beach, Contra, and Turtles 2+3. :P

I still have my original N.E.S. and S.N.E.S. systems.. unfortunately for my SNES all my controllers ended up breaking. I also still have all of my old games.. in a box. You know, I think one of my favorite NES games was Faxanadu. Hell I still have the first Wizardry... now that's old school.

Master Blaster.
Always and forever.

Good find Morch. :) I think Tristam and I have a NES, Super Nintendo, and Nintendo 64. We got a good bit of games for them but we hardly ever play them. It's always fun to pull them out every once in a while.

It's Blaster Master. Master Blaster was the dwarf in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.

But I agree with you that Blaster Master is awesome. It's one of my favorite NES games, and I still play it regularly. I even snagged a pattern for my Animal Crossing game so I could have a painting of the S.O.P.H.I.A. tank in my house. I'd love to see it released on Virtual Console along with Bionic Commando.

I'd also love to see a VC version of Friday the 13th. A lot of people slag on it, but I think it deserves a few props for being an early survival horror game. I still play it every so often -- Mark is my favorite counselor to use -- although the ending sucks ass.
