Orochimaru is not dead, his counciousness is inside Sasuke. This chapter puts it clearly. Sasuke must have inhereited Orochimaru's abilities in the transfer process. He seemed in total control at every time.

I love where this is going. Team Kakashi vs Team Sasuke and Sasuke vs Itachi Round 3 (he better put up a fight this time because he's 0/2 up to now lol).
 
I'd rather Kakashi never be used for a major battle anymore since Yamato was introduced. The "Use Sharingan, Suffer near-death victory, hospitalized for several chapters" flow is getting old.
 
The Sharingan is boring in general. I'm hoping for a full Sharingan obliteration in the series.. stupid boring ass overpowered crappy crap :|
 
I think Orochimaru's conscious is gonna wake up and mess with Sasuke's judgement and how he acts in the rest of the manga. Just a thought though.

That chapter seems kinda like it was just put there to waste space to me. All it did was tell us stuff we already knew or theorized while simultaneously not confirming anything we knew or theorized about anything.

Or Orochimaru just trained sasuke like he said he was going to. Naruto learned to do stuff with frogs from Jiriaiya, it'd only make sense that Sakura and Sasuke would learn the same animals from their respective sanin. There is nothing at all to suggest that he "tapped into" or inherited Orochimaru's powers, only that he knew how to create snakes.

Hell, Anko(who they need to feature more) does stuff with snakes too, but Orochimaru isn't in her.

The Sound Four, nor Kimimaro could summon or create snakes. And as far as we can tell, neither can Kabuto. He summoned Manda once, using the seal on Orochimarus arm, and we don't know whos blood he used. He used his own Chakra, but we've known that others chakra is interchangable with your own when Chiyo revived Gaara using Naruto's Chakra.

we don't know if they were unable to, or if they were trained by orochimaru at all the way Sasuke and Anko were . maybe they were able to use snakes but just didn't do (cuz they died too early or whatever).

while that may be true, added with what Skaw said, Sasuke has NEVER had murderous intent for ANYONE other than his brother. Look back at the ninja he was fighting a few chapters back before Oro "died". He didn't kill them, he didn't kill any of the ones in the way to Juugo (as the chapter said) and then suddenly he has murderous intent now? I dunno.. I just see a Diablo-esque kinda thing happening :P

5 Battles, and not a single snake was summoned, even out of desperation by the four that needed help? I can see a possibility of Kimimaro being able to, but he never fell into a desperate situation to use them. He died due to his terminal illness, not being defeated by Gaara/Lee.
 
Sasuke didn't do any summoning moves. The snakes were like b00m right on top of the guys instantly. That's very Orochimaru.

But still, Sasuke has all the power to start up a murderous intent whenever he feels like it.

It's a shame too, she's a much more interesting character than sakura.
 
Has Anko even had a part 2 scene? I don't even recall her being in the background anywhere.
