this chapter starts off with tobi/madara in the valley of the ends commenting on sasuke's development and how he's going to watch him closely

sasuke heading towards konoha with team hebi, obviously to the uchiha hideout

one of naruto's clones finds him and is dispatched by sasuke directly via chidori

naruto tells his team the location of sasuke and they appear to start going towards them

pain "wakes up" in another body which seems to be a replication of deidara's, with some changes

he tells konan to find jiraiya (they don't know who it is atm)

jiraiya has disguised himself as one of the ninja he was interrogating, but konan easily finds him and attacks him

konan relays back to pain that it's jiraiya, who they both recognize as a sensei, pain recalls "past love" of some sort

jiraiya comments on how konan has grown into a hell of a woman (probably referring to her shinobi skills)

so basically, we can assume for now that pain and konan were minato's two other teammates, or subordinates to jiraiya in some way.

the next chapters name is "an era of students and teachers" or something, so we're probably going to see pain and konan (possibly minato)'s past with jiraiya

all in all a great canon chapter with a lot happening soon

Minato, Konan and a weird one.

Right now people are saying Pain in his original body or Ibiki.
 
prolly pain in his original body/name. Since Jiraiya doesn't seem to know anyone by the name "Pain"
 
we should have some trustworthy spoilers tomorrow, as 2chan opens up public release of photographs/scans then.
 
alright, it seems that konan and pain are war refugees that jiraiya found after he and the other 2 sannin fought and lost to hanzou, and he decided to take them and teach them.

minato, on the other hand is a student to jiraiya like naruto is/was

this isn't really confirmed at all, but from what I gather from the spoilers it seems plausible
 
so...where's the downloads for this week and the last week naruto shippudden? dont see them on realitylapse supposedly a 1hr special that promises some action(for a change)

Yeah, that's what happened; apparently Pain managed to kill a chunin when he was a little kid, so he's seriously strong.

flash back of how jiraiya met pain konan etc

they're war refugees from hidden rain. pain is obviously a black haired mentally disturbed kid whose family was killed and who seems to be incredibly strong.

there's also a kid with konan that seems to look a lot like minato, but that's doubtful

that person could also be the first body pain was shown inhabiting.

we're probably going to get some more backstory on pain next week, it's definitely leading up to something

Actually I thought the kid was Juugo at first, he looks quite a bit like him. He doesn't look that much like Minato, really.

so Pain's Body mimic technique coughs up a piercing laden slightly different version of the origonal?

What if the body he had before was based off Minato?
