I know this sounds naive but I never really read a manga.... or a comic book now that I think of it. I typed in naruto manga in wikipedia and read up on it a little bit.
So, what I found is that the manga is split into two parts, 1 and 2. Part 1 has 27 different volumes that come out roughly 4-5 months apart, each volume is a book. Each book/volume has a bunch of different chapters in it. Did I get that right?
I youtubed the first 10 episodes of Naruto and really liked it. I then realized it would be impossible to see the whole anime from the beggining, I guess I kind of missed the boat. I want to buy the first book just to see if I can get into it. Anyone know where I can get that and how much it'll cost? I'm thinking Chapters mabey...... and is it in colour?
It isn't impossible to watch it from the beginning. My friend Qla managed to watch episodes 1-220 of the original and about 17 episodes of shippuden in about a week.
The chapters in the volumes are not colour. Just the classic black and white which makes it ten times as awesome. There is SOME colour in the shonen jump releases but only about a page or two. The only exception to this is when Tite Kubo, creator of Bleach, did a full colour chapter when it was a very important stage in one of the battles.
