Finally, the whole reason with why Sasuke was left alive is revealed; and goddamn is that a good reason. Naruto just managed to re-acquire my interest with this chapter; I was getting bored with how badly it was turning into DBZ.
 
this chapter makes me want to know more about how Kakashi got the mangekyou sharingan, and if his is the better one.

he got it during the short chapters in Kakashi Gaiden, obito was crushed by a bolder and kakashi lost his eye to a ninja so obito gave him his eye as a jounin present and he watched obito(read:his best friend) die with his donated eye enabling him to obtain mangekyou.

that chapter...was badass bleach and naruto deliver this week naruto moreso than bleach for a change
 
Did anyone else find Madara's original Mangekyo pattern awesome? 3 Red Circles with a black ring connecting them was sweet. His brothers was ass and tainted his blindness prevention Mangekyo when the patterns combined.

Also, Itachi's "true self," leaves some more questions after this long explination answered a lot.

I don't think thats how it worked, since when Kakashi got it, it was only a 2 tomoe freshly-unlocked Sharingan. He had to train and master the sharingan first, then unlock Mangekyo.

If you could use the death of someone you cared for earlier in life(I doubt it's just best friend, but anyone you have a strong bond for, it's just pschologically easier to kill a friend than a family member,)Sasuke should have been able to use it already.

Madara's Sharingan is a badass pattern, I agree with that.

And I like Itachi even more now, because on top of all the other things he does, he's also insane (Well, more insane that we already knew). It's a beautiful thing.
 
I think the question is really...what does Itachi plan to do if he gets the mangekyou+1? It's not like it gives him immortality so he'll eventually die, he's young though so I guess he could go on a "I'm so leet!" killing spree on the villages.

Skaw: I didn't mean to say that Kakashi was able to use Mangekyou when he first got the eye and watched Obito die with it, just eventually. Thinking back Obito and Kakashi always hated each other and weren't friends until Rin was kidnapped, but Obito could easily be Kakashi's only friend since Kakashi's attitude wasn't the most stellar

It does make you wonder though, how long has Kakashi been able to use it and why specifically has he used it recently? I know he only uses it in the most dire of dire circumstances, it's probrably because of the 'charge time' to activate it.

Maybe it does give immortality. He is as old as the First Hokage.

The first hokage is Tsunade's grandfather

She's in her 50s.

I'm 17 years old and my grandparents are in their 70s. That would put him about 120 years old.

He's dead, but Madara is alive and kicking at 120? There's something more to it than we see.
 
but it looks like he's in Obito's body if anything so maybe he isn't truly immortal but immortal like Orochimaru

I wouldn't say he's been able to use it long. It's obvious he unlocked it during the timeskip, otherwise he would have tried to use it when Itachi was kicking him around when him and Kisame were in Konoha.

by the way, Dattebayo is either seriously being douchebags or just trolling retadedly again for whatever reason. However, Naruto Shippuuden 45 was translated by another group. They have some spelling errors (mostly just Strength XD they spell strenght) but it's fine for their first time.

If I'm reading your question right, your asking how does Itachi prevent himself from going blind or "invincibility" from using mangekyou?

Basically he wanted Sasuke to get mangekyou then rip his eyes out and use them as his own making him immune to the gradual blindness caused by normal mangekyou users, but Sasuke didn't and Itachi about to rip his eyes out anyway. I suppose the invincibility is the ableness of using mangekyou+1 with no sort of strings attached and being able to warp all senses that percieve reality.

So in a sense, if you perfect mangekyou you can control how others percieve reality(genjutsu) and become the strongest without any sort of side effects on the user.

Maybe Madara lives in the dimension created by Magenkyou and comes out for things he need to do in rl. Time passes slower there or never moves. That's a possibility.
 
kinda seems like a bit of a plot hole to me tho, Kakashi is going blind even tho he stoled Obito's eye. but maybe it's cause kakashi wasn't from the uchiha clan to begin with and couldn't obtain the sharingan on his own *shrug*
