itachi going blind still confuses me, if sasuke takes itachi's eyes then how is the transplant gonna work, he would literally be a four eyed freak XD

maybe he obtains sight beyond sight and becomes the mangekyou leader of the thundercats . . . HOOOOOOOOOO!

in latest news, itachi dies. unfortunately this "epic" fight wasn't really anything spectacular. why are the summoning techniques considered so powerful when they really don't do anything? I think Naruto's frog would own the Oro hydra technique too.

If Itachi wasn't so power hungry then he would not have been in the situation he is in now. Itachi was a bad ass with the normal sharingan and more than likely would be Stronger than Sasuke is now if he didn't jump to mangekyou when he did. One thing that is confusing is that Itachi can supposedly gain the stronger mangekyou without Sasuke having it. He had chances before to take his eyes but wanted Sasuke to get Mangekyou. It doesn't make sense to me.
 
I don't think he intended to beat Sasuke this time when he learned he had not attained Mangekyou. I believe he intended to make him run away again and attain the mangekyou or something. That Sasuke was able to resist the Mangekyou wasn't something he had planned on, and thus needed to become more serious, as he'd otherwise die.
 
Thats a good point. Also, The creator of the series probably did not think that far ahead.
 
Something worthy of notice in this chapter:

Page 2 and page 17. Look closely at Sasuke's shoulder. His cursed seal is gone. Before, it was easily visible just from seeing his face. now, you can't even see it from a top-down view.

If he really did lose all of his CS powers, it's a big step down for him.

He wouldn't exactly need them though now that the last nail is in Itachi's coffin ;_;

Or it could be that Kishimoto got tired of drawing the damn seal.

Or it could mean Sasuke is f*cked and his death is gonna come very soon.
 
My point is, he hasn't been able to survive a single fight in the manga OR anime since he got the seal.

From the start of the manga:

Zabuza: Had no seal, "died"

Chunin forest: Badly owned by Orochimaru, got his seal

b) Defeated the 3 sound-nin with seal

Chunin prelimanaries: Had to supress seal but took it's chakra to win

Chunin finals: Not really a fight

Gaara: Used it extensively to the point of exhaustion before Naruto stepped in

Short Itachi fight: Didn't really have a chance either way

Naruto: He didn't fight any until here, but he uses the cursed seal almost for the entire fight and still barely managed to win.

Didn't fight against Naruto in the scene coming up in the Anime.

Next big fight was Orochimaru when he "killed" him, he used the cursed seal here

Deidara: Extensive use of CS2 for a shield, would have been killed otherwise.

Itachi: Used CS2 three times, and is still on the brink of death


He's fucked without it.
 
Goes back to the point I made earlier with thinking Orochimaru being alive, in the Chunnin Exam forest in the fight between Anko and Orochimaru

Orochimaru>> That seal is a seal giving the wearer unbearing hatred for me and will cause them to come after me in desire of my power, it will only disappear when I am killed.

So he's truly dead this time, that white snake is just a shred of him trapped inside a summoning jutsu. In the future he could be restored and the seals come back, but everyone's seal should be gone for now.
 
yeah, like khidir said, he is dead therefore its removed itself. the chapter was good but it kinda made me feel a bit sorry for itachi

sasuke also collapses, but just from exhaustion

cuts back to madara-tobi and naruto and company. no one understands why attacks go straight through him, so they work together an attack from shino. tobi makes some crude statements about the aburame clan, and the chapter ends.

what I don't get here is why zetsu didn't go to eat itachi or take his ring like he has with everyone else that hasn't been completely annihilated.

this is confirmed, btw

How can you even make that assumption? There was not a single panel in last weeks drawn that had Sasuke angled so that you can even see the seals mark on the back of his shoulder. You have no supporting evidence other than the power went in to remission. Which could just simply be a side effect of completely running out of chakra.

It's not an assumption made on the latest panel, I assumed the part someone saying that the seal on his shoulder is gone which meant orochimaru is dead.

It's not sasuke's first time running out of chakra either; he ran out when he fought gaara in the forest when he forced a chidori without enough chakra and it was still there.

The assumption of the seal being gone when orochimaru dies was one made when I started watching naruto dubbed instead of the manga.

Around episode 50 of the manga is Anko's run-in with orochimaru but non-suprisingly it doesn' t have the part about the seal lasts as long as I live said by orochimaru. I also looked at episode 69-70 where it could have said the same thing but it didn't. Seems like I was wrong in that case. In the dubbed it could still be there but it's hard to say

But orochimaru is dead now, amaratseu saw to that lol, or dead as in lost his mind to the genjutsu inside itachi's sword. Going off to the side, it seems appropriate the power he used is now gone since his greatest threat is gone assuming what Itachi said about madara being a shell of his former self is true.

So now he should be slighty or moderately above Naruto in terms of performance.
 
I wonder something. We know Itachi got his Mangekyou Sharingan eye from killing his best friend. He said Sasuke can get the same type of eye if he did the same. Does that mean that Madara's and his brother's Mangekyou are different? Assuming Kakashi's is another type of Mangekyou Sharingan.. I wonder what kinda powers Madara's (and I guess his brother's since I'm assuming they had the same type since they were equals of sorts) has :P and how exactly they got their own.

I think I have an idea, it may not be killing someone, but watching someone die and go through the trauma. Lets take a run through of those we know have the sharingan so far and how they could have possibly awakened the mangekyou.

Madara and his brother: Unknown. However as it was war during that period of time, they could've seen horrific battles.
Kakashi: Watching Tob... I mean... Obito die.
Itachi: Killed best friend and traumatized himself... maybe. Who knows!
Sasuke: None yet, but maybe he has awakened it from killing Itachi and completing his ambition.... DAMN IT!

I'm not 100% sure but I think that may be the way.
