I didn't think that they required it to do a memorial to him. I mean, I'm sure there's a number of shinobi that were sent on missions and they didn't recover the bodies and they're still on the "Hero's Monument" and probably had a service. lol I figured that if Kishimoto wants to keep up a follow-up boring chapter like 407, he could do a whole chapter on Jiraiya's funeral and further waste 5 minutes of my life reading nothing. Chapter 407 was a whole lot of worthless.
 
Dunno about the funeral, think about it

Jiraiya spent his whole life trying to get a handle on Tsunade's girls and when he decides to give up and go do something different....

Tsunade bets if he comes back alive that she'll be his toy

what I'm really sad at is that anko isn't given any panels she should've been there somehow when naruto and co. went after orochi or given some time during his death or anything

looking at the close up, look at the headband =P it's not Konohas
 
Look at all the headbands on page 17 of chapter 207; they're all hidden mist village's. Yet, as we know from Jiraiya's revelation in the late 370's chapters, not all those shinobi are from the hidden mist. Jiraiya encountered all of them. Uzumaki Kushina was from the Whirlpool country that no longer existed, remember? So she probably wouldn't have a leaf headband anyway.
 
They don't even really look that much alike though >.>
 
Who knows? Hair is the biggest difference really. It would be a pretty shocking twist in the story though; Pain stole the corpse of Naruto's mother and is not attacking him with it. I mean, it's not like there's a distinguishing feature to separate the Pain-female and Kushina either.

not quite, it's about Sasuke going after the eight tails, and revealing his new Sharingan can force folks to tell the truth. Also mentioned how Autopsy resaults will take a week.

Konoha is preparing to do a second autopsy on the pein body they have, sasuke does some mangekyou tricks on some old people, the 8-tailed jinchuuriki is revealed, naruto goes to train with the frog hermit dude

I think Suigetsu is awesome personally, am glad this chapter has him in.

And haha XD when Suigetsu says "Geez... those eyes are getting way too rigged... You're really starting to get on my nerves." about Sasuke made my day :P so funny and he shoulda realized this awhile ago.

Its just like when Sasuke left to train with Oro. He's just using Akatsuki so he can kill the leader of "Root" and then he'll turn on Madara since he admitted to taking part in killing the Uchiha clan.

Kishi wouldnt take him this far to throw him to the wolves. I'm guessing that Sas will incapacitate the 8-tails, take him to Aka. then have some sort of plan involving the 8-tails to help take out Aka when the time is right. IIRC doesnt it take a few days for that creepy statue thing to take out the demon from the person? Just sounds like a set up for a later surprise attack to me.
 
takes a few days for it to devour the kyubi spirit completely and coincidentially kill the person but I agree with what you said since sasuke is the type to look after number one and his interest's foremost
 
yeah but, you have to remember that the demon stone thingy eye popper, when they were extracting one tail from gaara, they were all hologram type things?

Naruto wouldn't know what his mother looks like anyway. As soon as the Kyuubi was transferred to him, he was an orphan.

So unless someone is with him and says SHE'S NARUTOS MOTHER OMG when they see her, theres no reason for her to be. So, everyone shouldn't even be like that.

To be honest though, looking at Konoha now, I think the only person that would have said that died. . .

Kakashi was prolly too young, Tsunade wasn't in the village and stuff right
