I'm rather sure it was more then 3 hearts. I seem to remember Hidan yelling "FUCK! Die already!" and proceed to stab himself several times, or was that after Kakuzu was already dead?

All 5 of the hearts had their individual life. Hence, 1 taken out by kakashi and one taken out by Hidan. The other 3 remained, briefly, until Naruto opened up an epic can of whoop ass.

I don't think they'll kill of Tsunade until after Naruto becomes Hokage, I still think it's to early for him but who knows what the staff thinks.

To be honest, I expect Naruto to come home and bring the fuckin' hurt to those bastards and save the day for everyone, yet again.

Iruka was nothing special so yeah, I can see them killin him off since he's not really got a specific technique that makes him shine like everyone else, that and he's still a fucking Chuunin...FAIL
 
Iruka isn't anything special, but he has a huge fanbase for being Narutos father figure.

really? I thought it was more Jiraiya that was a fatherly figure? since Iruka although graduated Naruto after the first couple of chapters he really hasn't had much show time again (lol balancing main characters :awesome: ).
 
Iruka was Naruto's first!

I know...but Jiraiya was his godfather (unless I'm totally crazy and just misread some thing). If Iruka did die, Naruto would be hurt though simply coz it's his old prof and blah, but I dunno about fatherly figure...he's been compared to Jiraiya alot too.
 
It's simple

Iruka = Father figure
Jiraiya = Grandfather figure
 
Jiraiya is his godfather, as we have recently come to know of. However, back in series 1 Iruka is often credited by others to be his father figure. Jiraiya thinks of Naruto as his Grandson and that's the kind of personal relationship they share.

Kind of hard to believe though that people who've read and watched the series enough to talk about it, a lot, wouldn't know those two huge things. Guess we don't all keep hold of the small things. Personally, it hit me harder when Iruka cheered Naruto up after Jiraiya's death than when Shikamaru and others tried because of their past.

Me too.

I personally see this happening: Kakashi is sent packing, Iruka is in trouble. Naruto is summoned back and makes it just in time to save Iruka. There are no casualties on the Konoha side, this time. However Kakashi and Iruka are hospitalized (shocker for Kakashi) and there's some Sakura love-fest/self pity over how strong Naruto's become. Naruto, now that his body has real resiliency to it, destroys a few of pains bodies with Fuujin Rasengan. Pain and Konan withdrawl, and people look at Naruto in a different light.

I doubt it will happen, but it is possible that Killer Bee may show up in Konoha to speak with the only other remaining Jinchuuriki after Pain is gone. I expect to see Konoha more on the offensive now that Naruto is done his training, albeit he can't entirely control it.
 
I wonder if Naruto as a franchise is on the home stretch now.
 
I think a lot of people forget that Iruka and Sarutobi were the only people who knew what Naruto had inside him and still recognized him for who he was, and not the fact that he was a living prison. And Iruka got even more points from that because the Kyuubi killed his parents, making him an orphan. Which made him relate to Naruto more, since his parents(or atleast his Father) died from the Kyuubi incident. And the reason he was always yelling at Naruto, was because he was the class clown just like him, and he wanted him to be better than that.

I'm glad I can rely on your memory so =D. Thanks for the quick history lesson, which validates the Iruka as father arguement ^^.
 
personally i think someone important is going to die unfortunately.

the big bad guy(or second to madara?) is going to wreak havoc and is suddenly knocked back by naruto who isn't finished with training with no sort of consequences for konoha?

this isn't filler, it's possible for the above to happen to set stage for a more serious situation but I think the manga is about to hit prime time
