Chouji's dad took a bullet for him and Kakashi and is dead. Kakashi tells Chouji to go back to Tsunade and tell her pain's ability, so he leaves.

One of pains bodies tries to shoot some kind of missile, kakashi remarks he'll die trying to divert it away from chouji

the chapter ends with him having a flashback and saying goodbye to obito and rin

he's probably going to die in the next chapter

all the characters that make a good story are being killed off, it's gonna be Naruto and shit face left...
 
I still dont think Kakashi is going to die. Atleast not now anyway. I mean common, this is Kakashi, they wouldnt even do that to Iruka. This fight with Pain went on what, maybe 4 chapters with flashes to other characters inbetween. You honestly think Kishimoto is going to piss on him like that? Even sakura/granny-nin had WAY more fight time then that against "puppet-man".

Not I'm not saying that there isnt a possiblilty for him to die at some point. But he wont be dying for Choji after 4 chapters of half-assed fight sequence. Sorry aint going to happen. His name is Kakashi, not "Filler-nin".
 
I'd be very disappointed if he went out that way, not accomplishing jack squat. Kakashi isn't just some character that should be killed off that way, he's been a major character since day 1.

I'll say it again, I'll be disappointed if Kakashi loses to a bad guy like Pain, who I think has the gayest, dumbest, most shitty villian concept ever. Kakashi needs to lose to someone more epic then this guy if he's gonna die.

Who knows, maybe Kabu-chimaru will show up again and give them trouble. Or maybe he wont die and the series will end with kakashi among the living.
 
Hiatus next week is lame.

Also, I'm willing to bet Yamato will pop up and save Kakashi, and we'll get to see him actually do some fighting for once.

I don't think he's dead yet, they managed to bring Chouji back to life from death as well as Neji who had a giant hole made in him. If he does die though it would kinda suck but then again they do have Yamato(? The guy with wooden element jutsu??) to somewhat replace him, maybe they're tryna make Sasuke the last Sharingan user and Naruto the last Jinchuuriki(sp?) which would still suck coz Kakashi was awesome.
 
kakashi better not fucking die when he hasn't even had a chance to face off with Madara(read: we still don't know if he has any connection to Obito).

hiatus p.o.ed me at a very crucial point of the story!

I'd still like to know wtf that jutsu is, that wormhole ability that kakashi does is oddly remniscent of madara's ability.

we also get to see danzou make a move, more plot mixing is always good; I'm really liking how Naruto has developed from when it first started

I do as well. I wasn't really a huge fan of the regular series (still watched it) but the shippuuden really got my attention, started reading the manga and I've been hooked ever since. And ya I was equally po'd about the hiatus. They really leave ya hanging on what's happening next ; ;

Noticed something on amazon, they are doing pre-orders for Naruto volumes 36-45 now in English which are set for release next year in the sets of 3 style that Viz did earlier. Pretty good idea in the long run seeing as they were doing double episodes weekly.
 
More English Naruto news, seems that Viz are offering THE LATEST free subbed episodes for stream online a week after they air it in Japan. That is freaking awesome, if more companies did this, there would be a reduced need for fansub groups. effectively cutting down the "Piracy".

None the less though, I would still choose fansubs on shows that a certain other company would "license" ¬_¬

Anyways, what do you guys think?
 
the scenes for the shikamaru fight are going well, i'm pretty stoked

and the ending for 84 was funny and ironic >,>

There has only been one anime that made good with English dubs, Ergo Proxy. Aside from the show I prefer subbed and I also prefer fansubs over "professional" subs, they tend to put the usage on the words better instead of tryin' to be all proper. I like that they are streamin' them though, despite I'll never use it, it's a stepin theright direction. English dubed Naruto is just pathetic, "Belive it!"

They got rid of that quote somewhere during or after the Gaara fight I think.
 
That's nice and all, but I don't really want to wait a week.

I hope that this doesn't stop Dattebayo from subbing the episodes.
 
you forgot Ruroni Kenshin, very good dub actually voices were better and kenshin didn't sound like a lawn gnome in the subs

Heh, not on Cartoon Network. Even so, that's not what makes the English dub ful of fail. The whole cast is atrocious and the wording is too proper, it makes me sick. To be honest, I was a Naruto hater to begin with. All I had viewed was dubs though. I hated it for about a year or two then I got turned on to Shipp. and streamin' anime. Went back and watched version 1 subbed and loved every second of it.

Kakashi has a flashback about Obito and his father, and dies. Asura pain's body seems to die as well.

The female pain body reaches ino and ino's father's area, the restrained body that they were working on breaks free and attacks them as well.

elsewhere, naruto's fusion fails due to the kyuubi rejecting fukasaku's chakra.
