I just finished the game, and it was way better than the first one. Broken bonds starts off where the first one leaves off, right after Gaara and Co. have finished attacking the village and goes on to normal Naruto series end(Naruto off with Jiraiya for training).

Some added stuff that you get in this one is that it's not just Naruto that you play as on the field, you go on missions with 3 man teams and can switch around the ninjas you need to use. Each Genin of course has their own unique abilities that will come in handy on the field, which is awesome.

You can choose to also give the characters their original Japanese voices which is good but I prefer english because I don't want the subtitles in the way.

The coin collecting is back like in the previous one but is much better (not going to spoil it for you if ya do buy the game) than the previous game. Races are still there like the last one and this time you get to hunt down prisoners that ran away during the attacks as well as be Kiba for racing, Shikamaru for delivering notes and Neji for finding hidden explosive tags.

The village generally Likes you alot more in this one compared to the last one where you had to earn their respect(though good, got tedious). The fights are somewhat random as I've had to deal with a super hard Bandit and a super weak Jonin Ninja on the field and though wha? lol.

Overall I think it was an awesome game that is building up for a third in the series?

Are all the fights as bland as they were in the demo? As much as I hate Naruto, it would make a pretty good game, and the demo was decent, but the fights were honestly terrible.

what made them terrible? I thought they were pretty good. I played on hard, so I found it a bit challenging.

It was more like Final Fight kinda style, seemed like a big step backward from the fighting games part of Naruto, and it just seemed there was no depth to them at all.

I only ever really played one of the Naruto fighting games and it was on the PS2, I didn't really enjoy it as much as I did when playing this and the one before(name escapes me).

If by meaning final fight kinda theme are you somewhat relating it to that where the fights aren't in an arena? I am not too sure what you're getting at since I never played Final fight...sorry >_<

More like an arcade brawler. Think some of the Ninja Turtles games, like Turtles in Time, that sorta thing.
Or Double Dragon, or Battletoads. Jump, Punch, Kick. That was it.

That's a given with most fighting games though, they get repetitive. I guess you could say this had a bit of that but changing up jutsu's and tagging partners into a fight was a good way of getting around that, you also get Kunai.

Same shitty fighting style as the first. I'd love to paly both games but havin' rented the first one and fought a few fights, I'll never touch the second and immediatly took back the first. Thefightin' system has got to be the worst of any game I've ever played and the Playstation games are vastly superior Ubisoft should take notes.

That was exactly what I was looking for. The seals system is by far the stupidest thing ever. Seriously, what would be so wrong with having it in a Zelda kinda style, fights are on the same screen, in real time, with button combinations, none of this mini-game bullshit in the middle of a separate screen fight.
