Naruto Thread V3.0

Still no real justification for Obito at all. Maybe there isn't supposed to be one.

Hopefully it ends soon or gets to some better action. I'm getting tired of this.

Well, it kinda explains he's gone mad with hate and anger at the world and the pain it's caused him and Rin. But ya, it's not great.

Seems it'll get really action-y again :P which will be fun.

It might be weak justification, but it is there. It's not exactly Rin's death itself that triggered the change, but the realization gained through Rin's death. Obito learned that everything Madara said was actually true.

Also, looks like we are getting back to the action, with Madara's wood dragon against Nine-tails Naruto.

I sort of agree. There really isn't a whole lot of explanation. But really, when someone loses their mind how much explanation do you really need. It's clear that Obito's grief over Rin's death drove him insane. Madara had a hand in warping his mind before that. Once he had succumb to madness, he blamed the world for it's cruelty and then saw Madara's plan as the perfect way to cure that cruelty (or escape from it, that's how I see it anyway). He became apathetic to the world, which couldn't have been made any more clear in this latest chapter and that is why he want's to change it with Madara's plan.

Of course Naruto ain't having none of that. Hence battle time.

It's a shame it'll be another two weeks before we get an update. I'm looking forward to what's to come and wondering how he's going to tie Sasuke into this ending plot. Somehow I really don't see Sasuke (or Obito for that matter) being as strong as Madara, who Naruto is now apparently fighting against. And then we apparently have a fight between Obito and Kakashi as well. Good times.

Whew... Holy crap this site has been down a long while. And during that while, HOLY CRAP the manga got waaaaaay waaaay awesome!

And the anime, well.. it went on a filler. However, I find myself to be highly enjoying this filler so far. It's animation is way better than what they have been doing in the normal canon series, the battles are engaging, fluid and dynamic (and beautiful). I also kind of find myself interested in where this filler is going. The only thing that has bothered me is that Hidan was revived with the Edo Tensai, which shouldn't be possible because he never died. Thus, that's why he was not resurrected with the rest of the dead Akatsuki members during the war.

I don't mind this major inconsistency though, for one reason, and that is that we get to enjoy Hidan's antics all over again. I mean, come on, he's a pretty awesome bad guy and doesn't get the same amount of time shown in the manga as all the other members of Akatsuki. So, good for Hidan. He gets to kick some more ass even if it doesn't make sense that he's kicking ass again.

I stopped watching the anime ages ago :P the manga has indeed ramped up! I can't wait to see how this series concludes. It's gotta be getting pretty close. I imagine it can't be more than another year eh?

I've missed this thread so much. ; ; I'll read the newest chapter later today.

Holy shit, that last chapter. Wow. Did not see that coming.

Hey, the board's back.

Until they're confirmed dead like Jiraiya I don't believe it. Manga's clearly ending soon though, who knows.

My god, the filler that is going on right now quite frankly puts nearly the whole series to shame (well at least what we've seen of the war so far) in terms of fluidity, animation, action and even emotional undertones. So far there have only been 4 episodes of this "Power" filler and they have been amazing from the start, but today's was perhaps the absolute most amazing episode of Naruto I have watched in a long time. Why? The first 5 1/2 minutes of pure awesomeness.

Everyone should watch this filler starting from the beginning, the animation and action are phenomenal. I also find the story to be kind of interesting too, even if it has absolutely nothing to do with the canon series.

Hell they even explained Hidan's presence in this filler, apparently Kabuto made a clone of him. So it's not actually the real Hidan, yet he is an exact copy. I can buy that, since Kabuto does do that kind of stuff.

Timeline wise, this filler arc falls somewhere after Naruto defeats Pain and becomes the Hero of The Hidden Leaf and is before Naruto is called off for his "secret assignment"/The war.

Oh my. Well, don't care. Prove to me it won't be reversed, then I'll care.

No way to know for sure just yet. There are still people out there with the ability to super heal and bring people back from the dead. Still.. pretty epic chapter.

Tragically, this is how I feel as well, and with Tobito sitting on Rinne Tensei, I'm not gonna hold my breath. Kakashi gives Tobito the Talk-no-Jutsu, Tobito pulls a Nagato, nobody actually died.

Hypothetical, but even the potential is enough to make me go "Oh, Neji died....we'll see him again."

Was I the only one shouting "Kiss her you fool!" at my laptop screen?

I probably was... D:

Haha Raes. I think, if not for the moment and where they were (a battle with people dying all around) there might have been some fireworks. Still, If they both survive the battle you can bet Naruto's gonna get some nookie. He'd better, god dammit.

I'm loving this btw. Cannot wait to see what's to come. Naruto's in his 'badass' form and I'm looking forward to what kind of a combination he and Hinata will make the fight since apparently he's vowed not to let go of her hand.

All that non-development confirmed in one chapter

Oh the fat fangirl shippers

Non-development? What? I R confused by what you say. Plus, I don't keep up with what the fat fangirls are up to.

Non-development as in every time any romantic inclination has been given by anyone in the series, except for Naruto's homoerotic obsession with Sasuke, it either gets shelved or ignored for an extended length of time, and until now has never been brought up again at any point in time
