Naruto Thread V3.0

623

This is really just a mirror of other events. It's supposed to be depressing, but I just can't care.

Well yeah, seems kind of lazy right now, and maybe Kishi is just prolonging this backstory in order to come up with new ideas (hopefully good ones) on how to end the series. Who knows. I still like it, but yeah this chapter in particular lacked any real development. But still, backstory is backstory.

Hmm. So, I don't know if anyone here is keeping up with the anime, but apparently they are going off a tad bit from the main storyline. Right now in the anime they are at the point where all the old kage have been sealed and Naruto has shown up at the battlefield with Gaara.

I don't think I like this version as much. If I remember right, in the manga, Naruto appears at every battlefield at the same time and effectively eliminates every white zetsu. Well, in the anime he's only had one clone show up and that was with Gaara. Now apparently he's still running to the other battlefields where his friends are. The Sound Ninja Four were resurrected (which I think happened in the manga too, but to little effect, though I can't remember for sure) and this recent episode was basically about Neji, Choji, Shikimaru, and Kiba meeting the sound ninja they fought back when they were attempting to rescue Sasuke as kids, only of course they are a lot stronger and smarter now.

That much makes sense and I kind of liked it with exception to the flashbacks, because of course, we need to have flashbacks to remember what happened last time they fought, right? Not like we can generally remember this huge arc in the show where they had these really long fights and almost everyone nearly died, no that's too hard to remember.

Anyway, there seems to be a much longer and drawn out battle between those 8 this time around, in the form of a side filler. While the 4 sound ninja were defeated, they were filled with such hatred and vengeance that apparently Kabuto enabled them their desires and gave them some kind of special transportation jutsu to unleash on their victims. So next week there is a filler episode, it may even be a short (god I hope so) filler arc where the 4 sound ninja apparently have been super enhanced or something (I have no idea) and apparently from what I gather from the teaser at the end it appears that all of the non-main character Konoha ninja teams will be joining up to fight. Not sure I understand it, at all. But It showed the ones who had been transported, as well as the others (like Shino, Hinata, and Ino) who had not been transported to the special "Hell" zone.

I've actually enjoyed nearly all of the Shippuuden fillers they've had due to the fact that they still technically could have happened given the time table of the manga and that it doesn't cover everything, and also because the fillers usually gave more story on some characters that were otherwise not shown or explored in the manga.

I'll even go as far as to say the last filler arc that aired in many ways was much better than the standard of the normal anime in nearly every way. (I guess they had a different studio working on it or something, but the animation was much more crisp, background music was slightly different and it incorporated a great story with all the elements that a great anime needs)

All that being said, and returning to where the anime is currently, I feel like the moment of epic-ness that was when Naruto just appears everywhere to help everyone and turn the tide and boost moral with the war is lost on the anime. As much as I normally greatly enjoy the side characters getting their own time to shine, this is one of those moments where Naruto should be in the spot light. (because we all know he takes a back seat many times to come as other plots, typically with Sasuke, occur)

I haven't watched the anime in maybe a year and half or two years o.o

muh hatred

Regurgitated plot points ahoy

Bleh... they take a week off and provide us with nothing new on the week back -_- slacker Kishimoto. This chapter felt way too short too.

You know, I noticed that they paint every competent ninja in this series in a negative light. Only the idiots are protagonists.

People like Tobirama are the only reason everyone in this entire multiverse are not dead.

I take it you don't like Hashirama?(sp?)

Well those who are so upbeat they seem stupid (doesn't mean they aren't competent :P) are more appealing than debby downers. Seriously. No one likes a debby downer :O

Well that was.. interesting. At the very least, the flashbacks should be done with now. Onto the current story. I like it!

Bout time :P really didn't learn anything new. At least nothing I didn't piece together myself awhile ago x.x

Well, at least that's over.

Back to plot please

Another new set of Intro/End music for the anime. Hopefully this signifies that they will move on with the anime and stop doing pointless fillers, as entertaining as they are. Intro basically seems to roughly cover up to the battle with Madara and Obito. The anime on the other hand, is still set in the stage where Naruto has just recently shown up in the war, and met up with Gaara and the risen past Kage have all been defeated. There have been fillers for a while now, but hopefully next week is the last part of this current two episode filler that's going on.

This is why anime shouldn't be made of a manga until the manga is done x.x

627.

I'm pumped for what's to come! Sasuke actually not being a jerkbag? Who'd a thunk it? Karin's such a weak whore, but at least she provides some comedy.

You could either argue this away as rushing of the plot or say it's character development.

While I don't necessarily like how easily Orochimaru and everyone decided to join Sasuke's power rangers shock troops, I do anticipate the result.

It's also pretty funny just how weak Sasuke and Orochimaru look in comparison.

It will be interesting to see the previous kages fight again and if Sasuke is truly going to try and save the leaf now.

I'll give Kishi that Sasuke's decision to help the village/change of heart into a good guy (not quite that at least) isn't as badly done as it could be, could still see he's not really happy with the state of things and still holds anger, but he's more interested in honoring his brother and ya. So kudos to him for making Sasuke sorta towards being a "good guy" again, but clearly still not exactly Naruto level of happy/optimistic/loving the village/whatnot.

Though, I don't really get Orochimaru's character shift :O that could use more development/explanation.

Well Orochimaru is a scientist of sorts so it seems like he's viewing this whole thing as an experiment and just wants to see the outcome with Sasuke's decisions. Maybe since he's had his try at taking down the leaf and was defeated, then killed by Sasuke.. yet still alive..... eh.. okay, who the fuck knows. He may still be waiting for a chance at taking Sasuke's body for all I know. But at this point I think Sasuke could probably kill Orochimaru if he really wanted to.

Ya, I don't know. Orochimaru seems way too different from what we've learned about him so far that he needs to get more development to justify this change imo :P
