Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm

What does the collector's edition have over the normal edition?

A music cd from the game, 12 tracks I believe. Let me check. Nope, 18 tracks and most are over 2 minutes long.

A limited edition laser cell art. It's kinda small, but nifty. I'd say it's a 5x5 square depicting one-tailed demon cloak Naruto with his rasengan in hand, along with Sasuke in that weird ass gay looking cursed mark form with his wacked out chidori palm.

It also has a pretty cool metal case, one side is Naruto with demon fox eyes and the other side is Sasuke with the cursed seal markings on his body and the level 2 sharingan.

I mainly bought it for the metal case and was interested in the music cd.

The only thing that I have to complain about this game is that it doesn't use any (that I have witness just yet) of the anime's music, which would really help to make this game feel even more like actually playing through the anime.

I picked it up as well and I love it. It's hard to get to it, with Gears 2 and Valkyria Chronicles in its way, but I pop it in here and there. Lookin' to take it all the way this weekend. I can't say enough about the music in this game and the loadin' screen art is awesome, with the little frogs and all. This game works like FFXI for me, I can't just boot it up and play for a short while. I do a mission then scurge the town for the things that come after and talk to the new "!", if any. Hell, just runnin' around the village is fun.

lol yeah it is definately a fun game. The music is good but I would expect no less from something where CyberConnect2 is involved (.hack and .hack//GU). I just wish there was actual anime music in the game too.

My only complaint so far is that I have the game set on Hard mode and there really isn't anything hard about it yet. So far whenever I've had a mission that requires fighting an opponent the cpu is dumb as bricks. However if you play the Free Battle Mode with the cpu on hard, they're damn near impossible to beat and definitely pose a far greater challenge.

But yeah, even with the stupid cpu this game is tons of fun. It's amazing how fast your Ryo depletes when you start buying things from the general store. I had about 100k Ryo and left with about 4k. I have almost 3k scrolls.. but there's no new scrolls in the scroll shop. Then again I've been playing the game for about 15 hours and am still only at the end of the second story arc. I do like to go back and get all the optional requirements completed in the missions though.

Yeah, I played a few battles last night on Insane and they're friggin' fun. The CPU isn't very stupid there. Well, even if they are, they don't have any openings, hardly, and usually open with their specials.

The only thing I don't like about mission mode is that you can't streamline the story. It's all; do missions > return to town / collect > do mission. I don't like goin' back to town and if you do a mission before you collect everything, the secret scrolls etc., they dissapear, which is stupid.

Still though, fun game just an annoyin' mission system. As soon as I unlock everything for Battle Mode I'll never touch the Mission Mode again anyway, I bought the game for the fightin' and it owns at that.

I would just like to say, the music in this game is fantastic. Listening to the game's soundtrack that came with the limited edition version is incredibly enjoyable. In some ways I feel as if I'm listening to .Hack//GU music but then a track comes along and uses that wind pipe sound and it starts sounding like Naruto again. None of this is bad though. Even the short tracks are pleasant to listen to.

I'm going to beat this game eventually. They definitely got the feeling of a Naruto fight right with this title. At the moment right now, my only qualm is that I wish there were more Ultimate Ninjitsu moves (and I think there might be more, I just haven't unlocked them at my point in the game).
