Need NIN Tanking Advice from Vet. NINs

Man ever since i picked up ninja again i got a lot more respect to all other great 75 ninjas.

This job is freaking expensive, both from tools (burn 200k every session) and from gear (O-kote, hauby, SH, byrie) and my wallet absolutely feels it even as thf, 10 mil really doesn't mean anything to ninja...... Not to mention it's prolly one of the hardest job to master in the game.

Back on topic tho.. I understand jubaku is great for soloing or something else, but i wonder how effective is that when in pt? For my routine, when the mob comes in i'd do kurayami > voke > huton > jubaku. However when i get to cast jubaku it's already 20s into the fight. And chances are my mages have already casted para on it and landed, then my jubaku will have no effect on the mob. In this case does my jubaku still generate hate? or should i just skip jubaku and focus on the wheel + hojo: Ni + kurayami: Ni to hold hate?

also ... i am wondering if i should use drones or dodge earring? i don't recall me parrying much even tho i had parrying capped, but on the other hand i only had like +9 agi without drones.. should i get more AGI or just enimity?

hehe this might turn into some nin's faqs :P

Jubaku is really nice if you have the time to cast it. If you are going to cast it, I would cast it first to get the full benefit of it and to make sure the weak rdm paralyze isnt on first.

Soloing I always pull the mobs using Jubaku, since it takes the longest to cast and seems like 90% of the time the mobs first attack, paralyze procs. Jubaku isnt needed to hold hate, but its just another tool to help you do so. If you think you need some more, or are having trouble keeping shadows up, use it. If not, don't. Its cast time is a pain in exp.

Jubaku: Ni, please.
