So I've checked out everything now save for RDG, Karneval, Devil Survivor (my hatred for all things ATLUS may keep me away from this, as well, all of the Persona related anime sucking doesn't help either), and the Demon King Part-Timer. Going to get to RDG tonight for sure, the others, eh, whenever as they aren't too appealing from just their descriptions but I tend to give everything a shot.
I can't decide which Rom-Com is going to be the best since Toradora! between HENNEKO and SNAFU. If it turns out to be SNAFU, it may even be better than Toradora!, I see that as a possibility right now. I'm quite shocked by this since the genre has been ridiculously littered with trash since Toradora! blew it up.
Attack on Titans (which I've gone through the 3 episodes twice now to confirm) is leaving me with the impression that this could be a classic in the future. I may be wrong, and to be honest, I haven't seen enough to believe it myself, but I get the same feeling from it I did when watching Claymore and Berserk ever how many years ago.
Suisei no Garugantia, how it got such an ugly English title I'll never understand, now that I've thought about it, is Urobuchi finally no longer trolling us. Instead of setting up a plot full of candy, roses, and friendship, he has already shown us how everyone, from the main character to the friggin' flyin' rat, could die/"be taken over" so if he's trolling this time, it's in reverse - in that, it'll end in candy, roses, and friendship. I'm calling it now, Red's "people" are so going to make a shit sandwich out of making Earth their own.
Flowers of Evil, like the manga, is (thus far) brilliant. I was wondering how they were going to top the manga in how unique and interesting something in such a same-same media spectrum could be anymore, but they've gone and done that by doing something utterly atrocious, ridiculous, yet some-how awesome animation style. I was a bit put off by this in when revealed, in the previews, and even in the first episode, but I feel certain now that nothing could make the main antagonist (of now) and "protagonist" come off as sadistic, crazy, and all-around off-putting as this art style.
Valvrave I get the feeling I've already seen before, but I'm not quite sure what it was. So far, I'm just watching to see how many more tropes they can throw in to make me throw-up. I mean, so far we've got a ditzy/outspoken love-interest, a puss-puss lead (is it really so bad being a "monster"?), a cold/collected Sasgay, an OP mech with a beginner pilot... I could go on all night, it's the single biggest collage of all things shit, shonen anime into one glorious roll.
The guilty pleasures of the season are probably going to be Mushibugyo (how about that title, a title the "professional" English translators fail to "get"), YUYUSHIKI, and The Severing... you know what, I can't even finish that awful title. The first two are just fun to watch, and the latter - I can't explain, but if it turns out like I think it will (a lighter Mirai Nikki) I may be glad I watched, that said, it's definitely going to be the first cut of the season if it doesn't shape up in the next two weeks.
Then I have the continuation of Oreimo, Nyarko, and Chihayafuru. Now to kick this addiction to Warframe and Monster Hunter because this is the first season in a while with so much stuff worth watching. I just can't keep up with both this and gaming - the friggin' horror of days only lasting 24 hours. I also have to finish up everything from last season, aside from Pet Girl... so much mediocrity but after watching 6-7 episodes I feel a sort of duty to finish them at that point.
