Here is a video I found on a forum (70+mb) was uber good quality, but put it on google video and it is not so good, but you don't have to download it, which is nice.


It has all 6 new bloodpacts (.dat swap) and the summoning animations that the primes use (also .dat swapped in)

Like, less than the 70 physical BPs, but this is un-upgraded, so maybe it goes from poop-to-pro via upgrades. Does like 800ish to EPs. I thinkt he SMNs are a bit annoyed that BLM get their AM2 which is a few hundered above their teir4s (un-upgraded) I think SMN were expecting a few hundered dmg over the average on the 70BPs.

But thas just my guess.

Heavenly Strike and Grand Fall were pretty cool. Meteor Something was awesome, it kinda reminded me of dbz.

The base damage doesn't improve with levelling them past level 1. You get a TP bonus when using that particular pact only, ie useless upgrade.

The spells are slightly stronger, different element versions of nether blast that can have their damage modified by TP..I bought of 4 them the day the patch came out and played around a bit, no even partial resists on IT mobs...but the damage really does blow.

Considering they gain about 100 damage per 100% TP... uh... I wouldnt' say it's a useless upgrade if you actually specialize in it. Or let the avatar melee a bit first.

If you fought the Primes, you know what to expect.
But, if the damage is as weak as some report. Then the upgrades are required.

To whoever wrote something who I'm too lazy to quote:

100 damage (assuming they are upgradable to level 6, which they arent) for the given amount of merits needed + disabling yourself from learning other BPs is stupid. The new pacts are ass. In fact, I'd warrant I've had more damaging fumes come from my anus. Another FYI, the level 60 "4" spells have a higher damage capacity as well. Good to know BLMs got spells that do 1800+ at level 1 though.

Ifrits Meteor strike looks like Ifrits meteor strike in FF10. I think it'd be cooler though if it looked like Ifrit's hellfire from FF8.
