So what are some of the new features, emotes etc ive missed over the past year or so?
i see the new macro book thingy but so far its all ive noticed.
anything really cool a noob could check out?

Yeah, it's only really useful for showing off your e-peen furniture like mine. Or cybering if you're pathetic.

Though, I've always wondered how many people you can fit in it. I found out a few days after it was put in that you can boot someone/have them leave from your party, and they'll remain in the moghouse, essentially getting around the 18 person limit of alliances through this.

Party at Celv's!

From that screenshot, we fit at least 22 people in Celv's MH

Bigger pockets are added in two gobbybag upgrades. I havent checked into how much that'll cost me yet though would be nice. :)

New MP rings and the RMT/Gillers

Most of the drop in price is RMTs, but Ether rings are more popular. And the increase of PLing drops them since they're not needed at lower levels anymore and at 40, you'll be able to get the Ethers.

(I think that's about right, don't pay to much attention since I don't really need them)

it's more because of rmt's than because of ether rings.

every time they ban, they take billions of gil out of the game, essentially putting the game into the great depression

im trying betting on chocobo races, its a bit confusing and theres literally no one in the zone but me lol, not very popular? cant you win alot of gil here? the quils i bought were worth 50k a piece if i win, but i guess the odds are slim?

Not exactly. They're stabalizing the economy by cutting on inflation, which is what happened. Hence the lower prices.

A great depression would mean people wouldn't be able to afford stuff and the economy suffers because of it, and that is not the case. People can afford stuff now more then ever with the nice prices. SH 250k? Yes please.

Our government (us) does the same thing, they try to keep a particular amount of currency in circulation.

You can make a lot of gil racing. Not really betting. Theres a thread on this down below.

Wings of the Goddess areas allow for a few more options in transportation - generally still somewhat slower than OP/tele + choco, but worth considering on occasion. Arguably most useful for getting from a starter city to another starter city if you don't have the newbie region OPs (or in Bastok's case, even if you do, since the OP is so far from town).

Also, on the subject of WotG, Campaign in general lends itself to easy, self-paced, solo (though you *can* party) buffering, rebuffering, or meriting. And once a job's high enough to survive in Campaign, you can even use it for levelling (and seek party while you're doing so). You get decent exp from it, although you'll still get better exp in a non-crappy party.

Getting Captain rank in Assault means free runic portals and free Alzadaal entry (although having a Salvage pass does that too). Need to beat all 50 non-Nyzul Assaults, as well as the ToAU missions, to get Captain though. Beating all 51 Assaults (for Nyzul, you just have to clear any set of 5 floors, you don't have to get the 100-floor win or anything) also has the Assault tag NPC hang on to an extra tag for you - but this isn't too useful for people who go twice a week. (Nice for once a week people though, you get 5 runs instead of 4.)

If the Chocobo Circuit is new to you, then the Coliseum probably is as well. In a nutshell it's very similar to Pokemon. Capture the image of a monster, teach it abilities, make it fight for you.

Few job changes here and there, notably recent updates making 2-handed weapons more viable (at first, they overdid it, so 2-handers painfully outclassed 1-handers; now, they're *approximately* balanced: weaker than when they were OP, but stronger than originally). No other significant job overhauls that I recall, although WHM did get a very nice divine-based (read: high base skill) spell equivalent to Sleep 2 (called Repose).

And of course there are the new jobs. Dancer in particular is very popular (and generally considered quite fun to play), though its ultimate usefulness at 75 is somewhat more debateable. Galkas have been known to cause minor earthquakes. Scholar is somewhat less popular, though it has several interesting applications when subbed, and has some ridiculously powerful DoT spells at high levels.

thanks for that nice chunk of info, im still too low for WoTG im told, i may use my wifes char for that, but so far its been fun being back and seeing old friends again and just hanging out, ive been asked to reinstate the atmaweapons...tho i was gonna do it anyway XD
Im back for awhile, gonna do some new vids. Oh and more so, no more hacking. Thats behind me, im just here for friends and projects and fun.

You can do the bastokan branch of WotG easily at any level, if you know where you're going. Just need Sneak and Invisible, and buy a gnole fang off the AH.

i dont kno much either but on the other hand welcome back do u play on ur xbox or ur comp or ps2?

No offense, but shouldn't you be sorting your life out instead of playing games?

already in the process, scheduled my test, and have put out my resume all over the place, got my house stuff in order and my medical ailments are being taken care of.
I dont plan on taking the game as hardcore as before, its casual for me right now.
I cant afford to pay to play myself and was offered by a good samaritan here to come back under their funds, and i accepted.
So far ive just spent time catching up with friends and talking about whats going on, its helping me alot having people to talk to about it.
