I'm refreshing the login page with my credentials each time which is the page right after you hit the "apply for open beta" button.

i just downloaded the installer from that file planet link and am trying to refresh the page that has me log in to my account. I guess to get the activation code

Got to the page after the login and it's a picture saying the page is unavailable due to maintenance. It's old school. Like geocities old school, with its maintenance sign...

Yeah I think that's where you get the code from and that's what you have to keep refreshing til you get through. I may be wrong :x

Edit 2: This is the link I used and it eventually worked: http://entry.ffxiv.com/na/index.html Just copy and paste it and if it fails to load highlight the url bar and Ctrl+V .

Yeah, got to spam the http://account-gate.square-enix.com/obtentry/en.html and hope the page loads... Not working for me either. Sometimes it looks like it will work, but then goes to the busy page.

I really don't know why people who signed up for alpha/closed beta had to go through this process to get into the open beta. It would have certainly lowered the website crushing rush somewhat. SE still makes some weird ass decisions.
