New forums appearing; flameboard going bye-bye?

Considering people thought it was going to be for just normal debate and eliminate the everyday kind, in other parts of the board.
 
Sculli will explain things when he's good and ready.
Until then, just know that he's doing his best to insure QCDN's future and to continue to provide a quality discussion forum for the Quetzalcoatl - FFXI community.

Because stupid people will still need to be put back into thier place. They wont just magicly stop being an idiot simply because Sculli says so.

But if you want an actual awnser, yes. If someone comes out and posts somthing blatantly stupid, i'm going to call them on it, and sit them back down.

from anyone who doesnt want to see the boards overrun with stupidity. Like i said, unless Sculli starts punishing people for being a retard, they're not gonna be going anywhere. As it stands, the only way to be rid of the people thet community hates is to drive them nuts till they A) leave, or B) snap, and break fourm rules.
 
To be honest, with the way the boards look right now it seems that your position is on the way down the page, out the bottom, and to the museum of natural history stuffed and mounted. With no flame board, if the flameboard is indeed axed, how many posters are actually going to be dense enough to not take the hint and keep it up? And do you really think that's going to be tolerated?

The debate board looks like it could be pretty cool. Hopefully it will be a place to actually debate things beyond FFXI, which tends to happen on occasion. It would be nice to have a place to discuss say, Mexican Immigrants, and actually have some intelligible responses sans the "pwned" pictures of Cheech Marin* that the same discussion would yield on the FB.

Seems to me that with more narrow guidelines for multiple forums they would become increasigly easy to moderate. Seems like a social cleansing of sorts is being provided to us as a community. Wonder what we'll do with it.


*Not to belittle the comical impact of a well timed "pwned" picture, since I myself am guilty of posting one or two. XD
 
Debate board all the way ! I have a feeling Neighbourhood watch would be too "Ratty", and filled with "False accusitions" that can be very unforgiving at times, which is what the complainers disliked the most i take it. All the Blame !

That's what most are arguing with as a means to try to keep the flameboard alive, so there you have it. Now let's see em use it if they think reporting baaad players to the community is such a big FB plus.
 
The forums that are not active are sort of a preview. I am too busy IRL to do anything before FRI, but expect some new development before the end of the coming weekend.
