New fucking Shaj

Reading this I get the feeling Curjos doesnt really care about the situation he's just arguing for the sake of arguing, splicing peoples comments into small digestible one-liners its just amusement for him and he'll never change his viewpoint as long as he has targets to use here.

Sorry if that a bad assessment but frankly I find the entire zone-jacking thing rather annoying, you have 30 or so people set their time to be free and are all standing in a zone ready to enter, its frustrating to see so many people's time wasted by a few internet thugs that dont care about anyone else but themselfs.

Dynamis is an area that only 1 group of people can be in at any one time. There is no restriction to the amount of people who can camp an NM. Therefore, Curjos, your point is fatally flawed. Next ridiculous analogy pl0x...

/sigh, since you say I'm trying to bash you, I'll go ahead and do so, you're pathetic dude. Look at every single, "point" you say you have made man, if it really made any sense at all, I'd give in and admit you're right, as I'm sure others would too. I mean hell, Raesvelg put it best, yet you continue to cling to this idea that just because zones are "free" for anyone to trade a glass and enter means they can go in, while a fairly large group is gathered, and jack the zone from under them.

Lets take your NM example for a test drive here and I'll show you why you cant compare the two. All NMs, and I repeat not including HNMs or NM's that require anything more than a PT, has no more than a 2-8 hour pop window (Charby for example). You dont need to be standing there the full 2-8 hours, just be ready at the end of that time frame to be waiting for the mob to pop. If you lose claim to some random dude/dudette who came to camp at the last min, oh well, too bad, not like it's the last time said mob popped, or will pop. You didnt spend large amounts of money (save maybe tools and food?), or inconvenience a large group of people into showing up, so no biggy.

Now, lets move on to Dynamis. As I stated earlier, it requires a large investment monetarily, timewise, and people wise. I mean, sure, you can pull off a stunt like Shaj or Diabollos and go in with 6-9 people, but you're not gonna get far really. Heh, I honestly dont see why I even have to repeat myself if its already been said before.

Is Diabollos like Shaj? I dont personally know, never really had any interaction with the guy. He at least wasn't a tool like Shaj. Did he pull a similarly douchey move? Hell yes he did. Dynamis zones may be first come, first served, but the fact that again, 90% of the NA/EU shells try their best to agree to a specific time slot shows that the system works, and anyone who breaks it has no regard for their fellow man/woman.

LOL and as a side note, I noticed you pretty much ignored the arguments posted by Raes and myself. All you saw fit to do in my case is ACTUALLY insult me and my intelligence. But its ok, I still got's no beef against ya. =)

I couldn't be fucked to read most of the tl;dr posts made so I'm just gonna follow up my response from here.

I feel you kinda shot yourself in the foot with this one. You had a semi-decent argument until you said this. You can not compare a NM to a Dynamis zone. Why? Because not only did maybe that person or persons who came 5 minutes before the pop had the ToD from hours ago/the day before, but there's competition between NMs all the time. People don't sit around competing for Dynamis zones. Now you have to compare the amount of people sitting around for stuff also. You don't have 36 people in your linkshell waiting around to kill Leaping Lizzy or even Cerberus for the matter. You do have 18-36 waiting around to enter Dynamis when suddenly some asshole comes up with like 10 people to try to farm the zone.

Exactly. This is the same reason why I don't get people keep bring up other servers. "Other servers just enter whenever." "Other severs have a forum for it also but it rarely works for them either." Here's the thing, we aren't other servers. We're not Siren, Odin, Titan, Ifrit, or Hades. We are Quetzalcoatl, plain and simple. As Rae said, the community uses QCDN for Dynamis Scheduling. Most of the NA Quetzalcoatl server knows this. Therefore, we feel it's unaccepted to just hop in a zone when someone is planning to enter it, especially when the linkshell is gathered.

Don't say that anymore. I hate those two words with a fiery passion.

I'm going to summarise my argument throughout this thread in relation to the latest posts.

One point I want to make (that I've made all ready, but JP might have missed it as he "couldn't be fucked" to read the others) is that the people you see in Dynamis - San d'Oria are a linkshell. The linkshell is called Virtuous. Virtuous runs dynamis (people may not have seem them for a while because they've been pretty much focusing solely on dreamlands for a while, but they're done now and are going back to cities for some new members / before they planned their runs this month they decided to change their timeslot) and Diabllos runs the LS. Also, just because they are 9 people, doesn't mean they can't do well and doesn't (in response to Hexx, when he said "I mean, sure, you can pull off a stunt like Shaj or Diabollos and go in with 6-9 people, but you're not gonna get far really. Heh, I honestly dont see why I even have to repeat myself if its already been said before." - I think you need to repeat yourself because the point is void - you can do very well with only 6, and it doesn’t make them a “group of thugs”)

If people actually read what I was posting, you would have known that I agree with you all in terms of others taking dynamis zones very annoying, and that the dynamis scheduling forum is a good feature to have - but not a perfect one. If someone uses the dynamis scheduling section and knowingly enters a 'booked' zone, then yeah, I would agree that they are doing something wrong. If a shell who doesn't use the QCDN/scheduling section (for whatever reason) enters a zone and gives them lots of attitude outside, I would also agree that this is wrong. Where my view differs from the views of the majority is if a shell that doesn’t use the scheduling section (I believe that the reason Diabllos doesn’t was due to being permabanned, iirc) and unknowingly plan in advance to do a certain dynamis, and show up at their allotted time to enter that dynamis to see another group gathering there. As far as I’m concerned (whether people agree with me or not, I don’t really care - I just wanted to express my view earlier on (I haven’t changed my view because I don’t agree with the points most people are making. It’s a very biased argument, and would be nice to hear the thoughts on some people who don’t use the QCDN scheduling section)) in such a scenario, then the shell (in this case Virtuous) had every much as a bit right to enter when they did – they are basically being flamed here because they don’t need an hour to start gathering as they are only a few members.

Based on how people are reacting in terms of on my view point, I hope people can appreciate why it sounds as though I'm basically being told "You can't have this view because it isn't the view of the majority, ergo you're wrong." I don't think my view is "wrong", and I would think a lot of other people who are subjected to flames such as this one would agree. You all have every right to disagree with my view on the subject, although I think no one has any right to expect me to change it and think that the reason I'm not changing it is for reasons such as "arguing for the sake of arguing", "pathetic" and the various other words and phrases that have been used to describe the subject.

And Hexx; I'm not going to bother replying to your threads after this one. While you might think you have "bested" me or whatever (which obviouly you won't admit, neither will your friends (you only know yourself deep down)) then that's fine. There really is no debating with stupid people (this was aimed at Hexx, no one else). Point after point you have made here as either been void, utter nonsense or a regurgitation of someone else’s point. Anyways, if you'd like to get in your last word, please do so~

Anyways, if you'd like to get in your last word, please do so~

What's up with people always saying this to other people? When is it ever about getting the last word? If someone keeps replying to your posts after you replied to their posts, why does it suddenly become a "last word contest?"

And I know his shell is a linkshell also. But just because they were doing dreamlands and just decided to go back to cities, doesn't give them the right to not check QCDN and making sure no one has that slot. And if you're not saying that what they did is acceptable, then what's your argument? We all know according to the game, whoever enters first, gets the zone. But according to the community, we set up a scheduling so avoid conflicts like this. So why not just take a couple seconds to check it so you won't have to be flamed in the first place.

To answer your first question, some people think that they "win" an argument by having the last say, because of how an argument in structured. Its not really a contest in this case, I'm just sick of trying to defend myself and my views when theres nothing I can say to do so, other than lying and changing my beliefs just so they match everyone elses.

And your second. People have their reasons for not checking QCDN. I'm pretty sure that Diabllos was permabanned at some point (I think it got removed, I searched his name and it wasn't pink) so obviously there is history of drama there between him and something relating to QCDN, perhaps he doesn't use this site out of principle...I'm not sure exactly, but people have their reasons and who are we to question them?

My argument is that while I think it would make life alot easier if everyone just used a scheduling system such as the one QCDN offers, I don't agree with how it automatically makes people a "douche" if they don't and their runs clash as a result. The feeling I've picked up throughout this thread seems to me (not saying the same applies to others, just what I've noticed) that QCDN has some sort of authority because they are part of a majority, which I just think is wrong.

Of course we don't have an authority over the server because we're the majority. But it'd be great if most people, whether you hate the site or not, could follow the scheduling. It's not that hard to do.

I don't remember him being banned, but if he was then it wasn't perma. Was temp I guess.

Shorter reply because I gotta run!

I think what happened was he got a read only for something, then made a comment about it and the ban got increased. Can one of the mods verify this? Not exactly sure what happened, was a while ago

Why does it matter? He knew it was here, either didn't check or didn't care, and that was that. You're arguing for the sake of arguing, while his shell might be capable of doing well in a zone with 6 people, that's hardly the normal case, and if you think anyone is going to make an exception because his party is /able/ to farm a city with low numbers, you are sorely mistaken.

No one gives a shit if you can farm a zone with less than ten. They only care that you are aware of the rules, disregarded them, and did as you please in spite of 30~ people looking forward to doing something. You're cutting off your own argument again. He was perma'd? Well, he's not now. If he got fed up with QCDN and stopped logging into the site, is that excuse for ignoring the widely-accepted rules?

You're doing an awful lot of defending here, just saying. You ignored valid points against you, only quoting things you could retort to, and seem loathe to concede that.

Someone entered a dynamis zone with low numbers while another group was waiting with a full shell. That person revealed that they know about QCDN schedules and entered anyway.

If you can tell me without a shadow of a doubt which person I was talking about in that sentence, then you're right, there is no grounds for comparison between Shaj and Diablos, or however he mispells his name. Until then, the shoe fits.

So because the group is smaller, they don't have the same right to enter?

What rules did he disregard? Last time I checked it wasn't a "rule" to check the QCDN dynamis scheduling section.

What important points have I ignored?

Also, I spoke to my friend today (who was one of the people in the zone), who mentioned that when they entered she couldn't recall seeing another shell waiting outside. She's also sure that if there had been alot of people outside, she probably would have remembered. So far we haven't even been shown any hard evidence of people being outside, the only thing that has been said was:
Few of my members who already there said there a blue ls gathering tell me to go look. So I went out of mog and check and see 9 of them then I /tell
What ever the case may be, stop exagerating. You don't know that there was a "group was waiting with a full shell", so stop using as a means of posting.

I'm not too sure about the whole incident with Shaj, but if you could tell me whether or not his whole shell was there, then I'll answer your question.

Can people just stop replying to Curjos? He's just being a fucking moron. Seriously, it's the same replies over and over.

In order:

I didn't say small groups can't enter, I said that small groups jumping into a zone with low numbers is rude.

I mispoke. I know it's not a rule, but a lot of us treat it like one.

My response to you ripping my first quote out of context, Raes' perfect summary of the situation, off the top of my head.

Bolded for emphasis. I think that sums it up.

Can people just stop replying to Curjos? He's just being a fucking moron. Seriously, it's the same replies over and over.

With this quote Myrrh wins one internetz.

Seriously like let the idiot alone please Lyall.... Seriously.

Yeah, sorry. He can have the last word, I guess. =p

See, it's funny because these morons always take the attitude "yes, we're going in and you can't stop us no matter how you try to justify it" but they can't take it when the tables are turned and they're told "yes, a fuckton of people will think you are shitbags, and you can't stop them no matter how you try to justify it"

One side will eventually cave in, and guess what, it's always been the same one. But, if you think you can be the exception, be my guest...

A lot of servers use this site.. Maybe someone could also post our server's info there every month. So if someone says "blah blah QCDN blah blah banned.." At least then you could give them the link to something that isn't this site. A lot of people don't come here. I don't know how much time it takes Morwen when she deals with the dynamis scheduling section.. It might be too much of a pain in the ass with shells canceling and moving to keep up with the two sites. Maybe it would cut down on some of the "sniping" going on.

In my years on Quetz, doing Dynamis, I've never heard of this one. That said, the ones doing the sniping have never brought this site up, so it is a rather moot point, not that I don't agree with you.

That, and unless I'm mistaken, I was under the impression anyone could read the Dynamis Scheduling forum, regardless of the status of their membership (or lack thereof) to QCDN.

If you've been IP-banned, I doubt it. If you're read-only, then yes.

Can't see them while not logged in, either. Need to have a username, not that it's hard to register.
