Haha i think its really funny how everyone was like "gears of war is gunna be the new halo" and it wasnt. But anyway, that trailer was pretty kick ass, i cant wait for it to come out ^^. And then we can enjoy getting modded again! (hope they fix some of that =/)

Easter egg from the first game. In one of the lvls where your in the warthog you go off to the side somewhere and see a grunt talk about a food nipple.
 
It was the last level, the warthog racing part.

I hope there is an actual ending in this one.

And holy hell that was a hot trailer.
 
that doesn't mean it was the next halo :P it sure didn't seem like the next halo.. hehe, was fun though.
 
Xena i never said it was a bad game (well maybe in the ls i did), i merely said it was not the new halo. And even you can agree to that.

the point was it would be in the same veign as halo, a huge market behind it. And since its a trilogy and its the only game i know of that came close to rivaling halo at all, its that damn good.
but nothing can take away the feelings halo has given me over the years.
ill never forget the moment i first sat down to play a game in a genre i really didnt like....and leave wanting more.
 
The trailer was CGI of course, and included no actual gameplay.

but, it does have some goodies to look at.

And Gears will probably get a decent player base behind it to start up some decent sized LAN tournies, but it will never match that of Halo 2 and soon Halo 3s base.
