New Halo 3 trailer

HMultiplayer is where Halo shines, it isnt laggy (unless its a garbage host, we all know about that), it has a great flow to it, and to actually be great (not good, but great) it requires a tremendous amound of skill.

Static unchangable content online. Oooooooooo, what an excellent thing to base an fps on .. static multiplayer environment with next to no customization. 1 week of content tops. Good game yes, above others in the genre not even close.

storyline = win.
everything else = phoned in.

Well, this is a console we are talking about...

Also Time splitters fails. So you can make your own maps, the game play still sucks. The graphics were hardo gay too. And shit the first halo is still more expensive then that garbage, so tells you how much it sold...

That was amazing. I'd love to see Chief as a kid. I think he was taken for the Spartan program at age 8. It'd be interesting to see more into his psyche and what he thinks about this whole situation. Mostly, we just have this ultra bad ass who is damn good at kicking ass. I want an ultra bad ass who is damn good at kicking ass & has reason too.

Come on Bungie, don't fail me now!

There's absolutely no bothering with that BS. It's still expensive so by default good... yea, ok. Timesplitters 1 failed on graphics due to the limitations of the ps2. 2 was one of the most buzzed FPSs ever on the console market and beat the hell out of both halo 1 and 2 on the xbox for graphics IMO. 3 got quite a bit of hype and was billed as a halo killer. As for gameplay last i checked it was almost EXACTLY the same as playing halo but with more guns, turrets, and character models to shoot at/with with an all but infinite number of arenas to play on, AND we've had bots with better AI since game 1. How boring...

Just because there's more rabid halo fans out there buying up copies of what is tantamount to a doom quality storyline with nothing else to offer but the same multiplayer experience every other FPS has been offering for years does not make it the best thing since sliced bread. Sue me i like to choose between a plethora of characters and levels to play to give life after storyline depth as opposed to headshotting my way through the same crap game after game. I'm not bashing the game so much as trying to knock it down a notch where it belongs; i just so happened to pandor to my own fanboyisms and dig TS as opposed to Halo for the reasons listed. :P

Good game. Many are better depending on who you ask. Everyone claiming it's the best thing evar simply hasen't been around.

It's all good..but they announced one thing I am dissappointed with.

I wanted bots. Just to chill and fight some weak but fun bots when I dont't feel like playing actual people. I guess better luck next time?

REstrictions on PS2? Look at Halo 2, the game looks amazing on the Xbox... not the 360.

And you only dont like Halo2 multiplayer because your garbage, "static content"... ok so you dont like old maps (they have added new maps).

Get fucking Halo CE on PC, or in January, Halo 2 Vista, and go make your fucking maps that you like to bitch about. Get a real game.

Just because 2 games have guns in them and you run around and shoot those guns, doesn't make the games even nearly close to having similar gameplay. I don't know how much the series has changed since i last played (didn't even know there was a third game) but no cross hair and that centered gun view like golden eye makes the game not even close to halo.

And sorry but this:

isn't as nice as this:

And believe it or not, price does relate to game play and popularity. If they could still charge 26 dollars (the price for halo 2 used) for TS:FP used and sell it, they would. Simple as that. However, they can't, so instead it only costs 8.99 at gamestop (used, they don't have it new). I am, since i haven't played it, just assuming TS:FP is the third TS since it isn't the original or TS2 and it is also on xbox (like halo) so saying its graphics sucked because of hold backs on the PS2 doesn't make sense.

Meh, it may be bad in graphics but it plays like the ol school N64 shooters which I still like. In my opinion, I enjoyed Timesplitters better than Halo.

As i stated originally it was simply my own personal fanboyism, not a dick measuring contest. Keep it in your pants, kids.

just cause the same game is on another system doesn't mean it has the same graphics >.> believe it or not, some companies will make the same game with slightly poorer graphics on one system if it'll mean it'll sell. PS2 was/is popular but the graphical capabilities were less than the XBox. I wouldn't be suprised if the graphics were better on XBox than on PS2 for the same game.

Any one seen the new Halo Wars video? It has a human type of plane wondwer if it be in Halo 3 as well ^^ they need one for humans lol

halo the movie has been put on the back burner for awhile, fox wanted them to cut production costs and Peter jackson refused, so they backed out.
Then they were in talks with another company, who also said no.
so they dont wanna just rush and go to anyone who will put the movie out as fast as possible and have it be a shitty movie, they want it to be a great movie so they are keeping it on the back burner till things clear up.

The multiplayer aspect is what made the franchise as big as it is. While the story itself is not bad, it usually goes overlooked by people who just want to sign into Live and murder n00bs.

As far as gameplay is concerned, I don't think Halo has brought anything new or exciting to the table. Its just a quick FPS. I honestly don't know why so many people get all ridiculous over it.

Goldeneye and Perfect Dark gave us customization and Timesplitters gave us map creation and bots with adjustable AI. Counter-Strike gave us tactical gameplay. Half-Life was great, and Half-Life 2 had that Gravity gun, which allowed us to make creative ways to complete tasks and kill guys with couches and saw blades.

As for Gears of War, there was almost no storyline, but the gameplay was great, which made it fun to play. I think the reason it isnt bigger than it is is because of how the multiplayer is played. The Gears multiplayer is slower because you have to hide more and pay attention to your surrondings, because if you don't, you die and have to sit out for the rest of the round. Halo players (in general) don't like playing like that. They would rather grab a gun and charge blindly into battle, die, respawn, and repeat. This is why they opt to go back to Halo 2, which is considerably faster.
