If a dancer dances at another dancer in Ballista it will trigger a danceoff, where webcams will pop out of your monitors then you will have to dance. A GM will judge who dances better. This will of course be on display monitors in all the major cities and chocobo races.

Who said they're summons? Yes, they were summons in earlier games, but that doesn't mean they are summons in this one. They can be avatars, but that doesn't neccesarily mean they can be summonable.

The only reason it'd be bad is basically because it will cause noob summoners (read: allatards) crying about why they can't summon Bahamut, Alexander, Odin and Atomos?

Uzor, it's not really a bad thing to be able to summon those avatars. But SE keeps bringing old summons as uber mega bosses and in the process put eager summoners like me in speculation. ToAU brought Odin as an NPC/BC mob and CoP brought Bahamut. Why not make a new boss? (ex. Shadow Lord). Bahamut is really the point of this questioning because he is like the mother of all summons. It's logical every summoner wants to get his hands on him.

One curious thing I saw on BlueGartr was the Fafnir camping video. That made me think you could get ToDs out of past time as well as present time. What you think?

I'm sure you'll be very happy once they start updating ToAU again. I'm sure there will be more coming, considering the Windurst rhinostery or w/e decided to take a look and experiment some with the Alexander corpse...

That's one summon I knew from day one they would never put ingame. The BC Fenrir vs the summonable one are different in sizes, right? Fenrir could stand a size change. But Alexander, not so much.

ps - you have any idea on what the deal with WotG and Dragon's Aery is?

They don't neccesarily have to make Alexander the summon. Alexander's corpse is a portal in to the Astral realm, so they could, storyline wise, make it so that an avatar or something escapes from it that you have to kill, and then be able to summon. Hell, could make it Odin if you want.

I mean, its obvious they've planned to make somehting with the corpse. They mention how the corpse works like a portal in to the astral plane, and the rhinostery (which handles summons etc. right?) mentions they'd perform some experiments on it. They mentioned they wouldn't move the corpse, since both Bastok, Sandy and Windy were interested in examining it further. Its obvious there will be quests and/or missions involving it.

edit: it seems that WS wasn't something exceptional to Dancer, since a RDM uses it. It seems more likely that you'll get to learn "forgotten" WS's when you travel back in time. Or possibly merit new ones? Also, the PLD is using a new WS, as well. So possibly job-specific WS's? Or weapon type-specific? You know, broad sword, rapier etc.
