New Nyzul Isle Static

We did Cerberus on our last run. Seems to be pretty easy, but not much data I collected on it. Recommendation though: Get items. Body boost, mage boost, hi pots, TP wings, all cost 200 tokens each from the chest at the start. They make the boss fights go a lot smoother.

Just want to add Champion's drink, must-have melee drink for floor 60, 80 and 100, increases Crit hit rate. Establish an order of use before going in, so you always have a melee able to chop off heads or break wings. We also make people who aren't disc holder get Cleric's drink for the AoE Paralyze. Again, establish an order and have a mage paralyna the person who will use is Cleric to remove everyone's paralyze. Saves mp and time. Ventrilo is your friend for that.

No BRD or RDM makes bosses somewhat difficult, elegy/slow/paralyze/etc help a lot.

The group that i do it with is extremely successful (short of getting drops). We are currently 0-16 on drops from Floor 80, 2-6 on 60, 0-2 on 40, and 6-8 on 20 all with the same party setup.

We go with
Thf/nin
Nin/war
Drk/nin
Bard/whm
Whm/Sch
Blm/rdm

Someone already posted the strategy for each floor and the real thing that is helpful is to get on vent for it. Being able to call out who goes to what is extremely beneficial.

As far as your party is concerned if different jobs were possible it would probably be extremely beneficial. As you can see from our drop rates even if you have a thf at all of you runs the droprate is not spectacular and i see that you have a thf so that may be a good idea especially on boss runs.

Also if you could have a Nin instead of a pld that would also be good because anything in there can be tanked by a nin and you need the extra damage to get through the beginning floors more easily. A bard or a Rdm are extremely beneficial especially a bard since they can get the ballad +1 instrument and it works in there for 5mp a tic at all times. Also i don't know how you will be able to survive some of the later floors without a stunner because some of the crap gets nasty which is why we actually bring 2 stunners. Also the damage from the Blm for MBs and soloing mousses makes it extremely good. Beyond that we also have a whm because we have come across a few floors with him on rdm where the lack of huge cures made it extremely difficult to survive sometimes with agas but the only time this was really a problem was on Dahaks.

As for the bosses... All of them are easy enough but there are some that are much easier than others Adamantoise is dead easy, Behemoth is dead easy, Fafnir is somewhat harder but still easy. We kill most of these straight up however if we are short on time we do have our dark kraken burn the kill if necessary. (We had to kraken burn the fafnir twice and omg did we get winged to hell and back... somehow survived tho)

As for Khimaira it is by far the easiest of the high teir kills, Hydra gets somewhat annoying when it puts up physical shield, and Cerberus can kiss my ass spamming stoneskin.

Good Luck but with your setup its going to be rough.

I dont pretend to know his job. lol... He perfers it that way for some reason... Ask wakmidget on that one.

What benefit does WHM get subbing SCH? (Not trying to sound like a dick, I just don't know, sorry)
With /SCH, their white magic spells are cheaper and more potent. Plus they have access to two of the abilities with the grimoires, one halves the cost of the spell and I believe the other increases it's potency fot double the MP cost.

Nah, they only get strategems to reduce mp cost and reduce cast time when subbed. Potency ones are level 55.

The potency one is pretty nice though, the white/black magic ones stack with divine/elemental seal. Had a friend try it out, and he was breaking 1k Cure IVs in the upper 50s.

Well Kodi can be a 75 Pld, Bst, or Blm
Gatttsu can be a 75 Drg, and if we beg and give gil a 75 Rdm
I can be a 75 Thf, or 75 Corsair.
Vafruvant can be a 69 Pld or 73 Whm.

Atill and Exx are locked into them 75 jobs.

Yeah, your progress gets saved every 5 floors; you have to beat the 5th floor for it to be saved as well. Also, you have to actually leave on your own; you can't keep going and get kicked out or it won't save that progress. Usually you'll shoot for just moving up 5 floors per tag; I think only one time did we get lucky enough to move up 10 in a single go.

I just noticed how Baja worded this post, but to avoid confusion, you can continue beyond the 5th floor and still have progress saved. As long as you manually leave the area on any other floor beyond the target floor. Ofcourse, if you manage to complete 10 floors, you'll get credit for both target floors.

If you beat Floor 30 with time to spare, as long as you choose to leave after completing Floor 36+ you'll have the credit for completing Floor 35. So if you find yourself with a substantial chunk of time remaining, theres no reason to not try for a few more floors. Especially so if you're doing a previously completed boss floor for farming. More tokens is never a bad thing.

Update we are now 2-18 on floor 80 got back to back drops an Askar and a golliard.

Another question. Does the 30 min start ticking on the opening floor where you get your runic disc and items and stuff? Or does it start once you pick a floor?

The moment you enter the timer starts ticking, so getting token items/choosing floor as fast as you can is recommended.

I can confirm this, I used to start a stopwatch on my watch every time I saw the "downloading" screen and it was usually only a few seconds off from the time warnings every floor and the 10/5/3 minute warnings.
