Still you have to wonder how many people give them gil.

In real life people that beg can make up to 300 bucks a day. More even depending on their location and such. Some people even make themselves look homeless and beg for a living...
 
I gave someone 500g in Bastok the other week.

Fuck. But they were shouting..... and it seems genuine....

I actually got slightly annoyed 10 mins later and went to Woodlands and farmed a few colibri beaks/feathers to make up for that lost ... haha

As sad as it sounds, this is true.
In Amsterdam alone there are at least a thousand people that know how to play exactly one tune on the accordeon (sp) (This thing: )

Making more on a warm spring- or summerday then I make in a week just dressing up in old clothing smudge their face a bit and play the same annoying tune all day.

This is why I don't give homeless people money, ever. I work hard for what I make, and getting a job really isn't that hard. Anyone can work at McDonalds or the local supermarket or other small businesses. I prefer to let the homeless know that I think they should get a job.

That happened a lot in the city I used to live in. Some would be stupid enough to wear Nike's or Adidas runners with nice pants and hoodies and tourists would still give them money. If you're going to beg for money, atleast do something. On the other side though, some University music students that I studied with would just set up downtown and play for practice with their case open in front of them. Got them their practice and a few extra bucks, I'd usually toss them some money.
 
I wouldn't say somebody is stupid enough to give out money. If they do, one of the main reasons they would be giving out money is cuz they feel sorry for you. It just depends on the person.

Thats pretty funny though, who would've ever thought an RMT would beg for gil. Maybe next time someone sees an RMT, that person could beg the RMT for money. I wonder if they would actually pay up... nah.

Not impossible. I spoke some generated mandarin to one and they gave me 2k.
