Happened during the airing of Spiderman 2... compilation found here.

Venom only appears for like a quarter of a second around the 25 second mark of the clips. If you wanted a better look at him, I took a couple minutes to get a freeze frame of it, don't scroll down if you don't want to see it yet.

Don't expect too much. The main focal point of this movie is Symbiote-suit Spidey and Sandman.

It's more of an introduction for Venom for the inevitable Spider-Man 4 than anything else.

First off... Venom won't be even a minor part of this movie is my best guess. If anything he will be in about 5-10 seconds at the end of the movie where we see the transformation and then this clip we see now of him lunging towards the screen before the movie cuts to credits. If we get any more then that I will be impressed.

Secondly... Hollywood doesn't like quadrilogies. Very few movies make it past triology status simply because Hollywood buys into the fact that movies only keep their viewership for so long and won't make money after that. Each movie costs more and more to produce as actors salaries and special FX become more demanding, so even tho a 4th movie might do good at the box office the profit won't be as great. How many movies off the top of your head can you think of that have more then 3 iterations? Even the hugely successful movies like Indiana Jones, Back to the Future and most presently, XMen don't have a 4th movie.

Yes I know a 4th Indiana Jones is in the works but thats like 20 years after the third and kinda counts as a new saga with a whole fresh batch of teenagers/young adults to not be bored with it (same way Star Wars did it). And the only way we will see an Xmen 4 in the near future is under a different name (Wolverine?).

Spiderman 4 could happen... but with the previous background knowledge I just posted and the fact that the actors only signed on for 3 movies (this was known since the 1st Spiderman movie released), it may be a long shot. Maybe the 4th one will be called Venom? Or maybe Ultimate Spiderman or something, I doubt many if of the same actors would be in it though.

This movie hasn't even come out yet and I'm already excited at the possibility of seeing the Spiderman and Venom vs Carnege saga hit the big screen... maybe that will happen in Venom 2 or 3 =P

All the marvel movies currently draw off the ultimate storylines (goodbye secret wars ><). Personally i'd go ape for a venom flick along the lethal protector line but i doubt it would ever happen, not warm and fuzzy enough. Unfortunately i think you're dead on about the rest, let it end on a high note and mebbe push venom's side more in the game.. As i understand it this portion of the storyline centers around the death of gwen stacy/2nd GG, for you book geeks out there. There's still a ton of movies they could milk from the original books but realisticly it just wont happen for the reasons deci listed. Aside from that entirely original > ultimate storyline as far as movie material is concerned.

Rocky
Harry Potter(Yes, I know it's because of the books)
Star Trek
Jaws
Nightmare on Elm Street
Friday the 13th
Police Academy
Puppet Master

Unreleased:
Saw IV
Jurrasic Park IV

Just off the top of my head. Theres undoubtedly more. I'm not even counting TMNT IV either, since it might as well be an entirely new movie franchise.

Haven't both Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 taken the title of highest opening week sales at the box office? (The title that is now owned by Pirates 2 iirc)

Should Spider-Man 3 not flunk out like X-Men 3 and leave numerous plot holes, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a 4th.

Yeah, theres that too Neo. Sony'll keep trying to get more made if they keep taking #1. Hell, even if it slips and takes #2 or #3, I'll wager we'll see the 4th one.

Spider-Man is a huge cash cow. I remember going to El Salvador roughly 1-2 months after Spider-Man 2 was released in the states. It was massively marketed there. They had fairs filled with banners and toys. Fast food specials, candy, ice cream, everything had something to do with the release of the movie. I even took a few friends and family members to see it and the shit was already completely dubbed in Spanish. And this is a 3rd world country we're talking about, imagine in other parts of the world.
