New update

I hope they'll add more Assault missions. I just beat the last SP mission today.

Not really, progressing through rank via assaults is very easy to do. Starting on your first day as a mercenary, if you win all of your assaults you can become SP within 8 days. Considering that most people have won enough to already flag the SP quest, it's not hard for people to progress in rank. Also, all of the missions so far have been solo-able, most are just cutscenes.

On a side note, As long as the update is coming at a later date, it'll give SE more time to work out those annoying bugs that always call for a minimum of five emergency maintenances after the update.

I really wish they would release the information ahead of time like some MMO's do. So we have something to look forward and discuss while we wait. I'm hoping for the new spells and adjustments to the jobs. I, also, hope they don't de-power BLU.

Blah I need to catch up with assaults and rank up within a month or so. I just joined a static assault LS so hopefully I can attend to assaults from there and try to do 6 or however many you can a week.
 
I have a feeling that SE will probably do job updates on one to two jobs. I have a feeling thier gonna be stretching the job updates over a long period. PLD was the first, now who's up next? Even though I know DRG wont be getting any new stuff for a looooong while, I still look forward to see what other jobs get. What benefits your pty member, benefits your pty as a whole, and in the end.....EXP. So, job updates a go go!

Seeing how you dont see enough PUPs around, i'm sure they'll give some yummy updates for that within the next six months or so.

And yea, while some higher teir Assault mission dont yeild higher AP its only because AP is usually based off of mission difficulty. Either way, you can get a nice bit of AP for doing the mission the first time. The more missions you have to do the first time, the more added AP, which will bring me closer to Palawaughn(sp?) gear. And just think, when more ranks are added, more Imperial Standing Guard Items will be added. The 'banes are kinda cool, but I really look forward to something a bit snazzier.

I suspect we wont have access to the new region without attaining SP. Seems like the place is gonna be nutty and the Immortals will be unwilling to let us through without proper clearence (aka Merc Rank). They let us have more than enough time to get the rank, so it wouldn't be unfair for them to restrict access as such.

Nerf SAM is an old joke, because they're the only ones nobody ever mentions. Every other job has some sort of nerf, or people crying nerf. SAM is just... SAM.

(Don't bother mentioning the meditate update, that JA was lolbroken before)
