Thats fine, if that's your opinion. What I was arguing is that you were making it out to be apocalyptic and how 75 won't mean anything and the world servers will come crashing down. I called BS on that and now we've got 6-odd pages of trashtalking about it. I never meant this to be a flame war, I thought you were being arrogant is all. And you still are. Confused
I am fairly sure I partied with you, and if I recall it was the party that a dragoon made level 75... or was really close to it and didn't make it... I
think it was Kira. It was in RoMaeve. If this wasn't you, oops.
And that's right, I baited you, and I tried to prove one point. The point that you are talking about something and trying to add to them the effect of "I've been there, I know." The point is... BULLSHIT. You don't know. You are a TAG-A-LONG. Before you go claiming to have experience all the end game has to offer and saying you are eternally satisfied with it, why don't you pull your head out of your ass for a second and listen to all the other 75s who have spent months actually fighting HNMs instead of pretending to be one?
And I will answer your question. The answer is nothing.I don't have any problems with "next gen" level 75ers. Half of my friendlist is full of level 75s who didn't even play the game when me and you were 75. I don't particulary give a shit if end game is crowded or not as I'm done with that scene anyway.
But I'll repeat myself, because you seem to be hard of hearing(yes I know it's the internet)...
I don't know how much exp will be changed. I am not making any apocolypic conditions. I am merely saying, if you ask me, it's a bad idea.
I say it's a bad idea, you ask why. I tell you why. You argue against the reason. I explain my reason. Yada yada, this whole thing gets blown way the hell out of proportion. Just because you can't convince me to change my mind, does not mean I feel terribly strongly about this whole thing. What's pisses me off, is people like you making stupid arguments. It's pissing me off way more than any exp change. So juist accept the fact that I don't agree with it and get on with your life.
And Konartist, stop attaching yourself like a leech to every person who makes an argument against me. We hate each other. You're a piece of shit. We get it. Move on with your life.

Elemmire, why do you deserve compensation for exp 'wasted'? When the level cap was raised to 55 no one got compensation. When the level cap was raised to 60 no one got compensation. When the levelcap was raised to 70 no one got compensation. When the levelcap was raised to 75 (After NA release) NO ONE got compensation. When merit points were introduced guess who got compensation? If you said No One you are correct!
Do I agree with it? I don't really care. I'm pointing out this is how Square has always updated the game and always will so your going to have to deal with it regardless of what anyone's feelings are on the matter.
Elemmire said:And why should you care if you don't play this game anymore and it doesn't effect you in anyway? If I started playing WoW I would stop caring about FFXI. There'd still be people on FFXI I'd care about...but the game I wouldn't give a damn about if I left.

The ontopic part
The reason we left for WoW was because the endgame of FFXI was flat, just like how people have been posting. A lot of our friends were quitting too, most of mine from the day 1 of the NAPC release already quit, a handful of players were left. We left to do something else for 6 months, and saw that SE is putting some effort into making the game more fun. We just lucked out that WoW's endgame is even shittier then FFXI's, I suspect we may see even more players coming back like the best ranger in the game... sup Alteredstate
I think the xp cap reduction is awesome, more players will have the chance to see more of the endgame and wonder at the sights of Tu'lia. It shows me as someone who quit playing a while back see that SE wants to put some effort into making the game fun again. It makes me sad remembering a number of friends hitting the 50s and just giving up because of the amount of work(building parties, LFG that sort of thing not actual XPing) to put into their character to advance.
