I think the xp cap reduction is awesome, more players will have the chance to see more of the endgame and wonder at the sights of Tu'lia. It shows me as someone who quit playing a while back see that SE wants to put some effort into making the game fun again. It makes me sad remembering a number of friends hitting the 50s and just giving up because of the amount of work(building parties, LFG that sort of thing not actual XPing) to put into their character to advance.
Daveman said:GhostinmyShell, I agree with elemmire, you make a good point ghostinmyshell, but it was very marred while I read it because of your easy mode comments. I feel I have to defend myself against your arguments, why? Because I'm one of the people who play your easy mode.
I'm sure playing a blm is so much easier than playing other jobs, all I have to do as a blm is press a few macros here and there, try not to steal hate, make a MB right? Just like the dark night who presses a few macros here and there, try not the steal hate, and make a SC, just like the paladin who presses a macro here and there to try and keep hate?
Your comments about easy mode don't seem skill based, they seem based on how much time you spend lfg, I'll agree mages get off real easy when it comes to finding pts, you're completely right it's that easy. Except one fact, throughout my 60's I pt'd with a certain drg alot. Not every day, nor every week, but alot - I would not see him for months, then get another pt with him. He stayed even with me on lvl, tons of other people leveld at the same speed I did regardless of their job. I also played from like 4-11pm -every- day (and still do), and they were all able to keep up.
I'm sure they had uber lfg skills and were able to play "hard mode" at my easy mode pace. I know playing a mage is faster, but it's definatly no easy mode.

Those are the thoughts in my head while reading what you wrote, had your whole post been:

It would of meant alot more, it may of been noticed less, but it'd be more meaningful.

This is a flame, the ontopic part is below:
Wow what a wonderful thread, someone who takes easy mode in leveling a job to 75 thinks hes the master debater because he replies to every post.
/golfclap
Young Firestreak apparently feels unimpressive anymore in his parents basement unable to cope with the fact he may have to be a little more socialable because more players may hit 75 and have to interact with them.
It must suck being a mage class when the only reason you're there is because of your class instead of who you are. Obviously thats why Firestreak is so upset at this, he will be used by strangers instead of his friends who see that hes a mage rather then the person he claims to be. Thats what I get from him in these posts, someone who cares more about that stupid number then who the person playing the game.
When I started my HNM(that god shell thing is stupid btw like that whole sky thing) shell with Nasya, Phazen and friends, we had small goals and spent months getting things in motion. The only reason we started that shell since we wanted more of our friends involved. We were pretty comfy where most of us were already at in Kurei's shell, well I wasn't there anymore but I had plenty of $$$ to get by Smile
Mistaya and I, along with a few others sacrificed our playing time sitting around waiting for a stupid bird to pop or that purple thing in KBD. The rest of the LS leveled for the good of the LS. I only bring this up to explain why we never hit 75, we took a hit for the team.
Apparently when Firestreak did those gods and things he thought his little sect of society was the only group of capable at the time. I'm so sorry my neck of the woods didn't run around and brag to everyone what we were doing before you guys. Who gives a shit what you think you saw, we did it before you. I was in a JP mostly shell when I killed my first Behemoth, I don't recall running around yelling and showing off my shit.
Oh but wait we didn't do all that because Firestreak didn't know.
Its sad to see the NA vs JP shit still exist on this server, that was one of the reasons we left, stupid politics, always us vs them instead of trying to work it out or have fun together. Apparently you have streetcred now only if do it within nationalism in mind, an NA shell if you will. That's fine but you can't rewrite history.
The reason we left for WoW was because the endgame of FFXI was flat, just like how people have been posting. A lot of our friends were quitting too, most of mine from the day 1 of the NAPC release already quit, a handful of players were left. We left to do something else for 6 months, and saw that SE is putting some effort into making the game more fun. We just lucked out that WoW's endgame is even shittier then FFXI's, I suspect we may see even more players coming back like the best ranger in the game... sup Alteredstate

Firestreak said:Well the first thing I'm going to say is, you're lucky, at this very moment, I happen to be in a good mood. Because I'm going to go easy on you, because obviously you aren't too bright so therefore I have to make allowances.
First off it was nice of you to comment on my living situation, of which you know nothing about because you don't know me at all. It's so reassuring to know regardless of how or where I live it should have any affect at all here. It's so cute of you, really.
Secondly it's nice to se...
... words Firestreak types out that attack my playing ability and other misc shit I skimmed over and applaud him for wasting his time, because they mean nothing...
Now I've attacked your argument. but I'm going to leave you alone. I never had anything against you while you played and until you pulled this stupid shit I didn't now. I'm not going to lower myself to your level. My evil side also gave me an insult to Kipsy as well for agreeing with you... and while deserved I feel, I'm going to be the more mature one and let it slide.
So I'll just close with this... congratulations with defending your friend, who was wrong, with statements that were wrong. I hope you feel better about yourself because of it. I suggest you follow suit with Mistaya and head the fuck back to WoW because the changes you felt made FF no fun for you are never going to be unchanged. This update isn't going to unchange them, and in my opinion it's going to make it worse.
I said that about Fire already. 8) 8) 8)GhostinmyShell said:Thank you for replying to my post like I knew you would, now go get the cheese with your whine about how making this game easier and fun for everyone makes your epenis even smaller.
Your opinion sucks by the way.

Elemmire, why do you deserve compensation for exp 'wasted'? When the level cap was raised to 55 no one got compensation. When the level cap was raised to 60 no one got compensation. When the levelcap was raised to 70 no one got compensation. When the levelcap was raised to 75 (After NA release) NO ONE got compensation. When merit points were introduced guess who got compensation? If you said No One you are correct!
Do I agree with it? I don't really care. I'm pointing out this is how Square has always updated the game and always will so your going to have to deal with it regardless of what anyone's feelings are on the matter.

You've made 0 points. You've reponded to zero of the comments I've made. Youv'e defended zero of your points I've trashed. And you resorted to childish namecalling yet again.
Honestly, I'll just let people decide for themselves who's the asshole.

Okay I agree with you there, you win the debate kind sir!
I said I wouldnt post anymore in this thread. I honestly meant to not even open this thread again. But honestly, firestreak I can't argue with you. No one can argue with you. Its like arguing with a lava lamp. The contents inside your posts are liquid and you counterpoint each post made while completely contradicting your previous posts.
Gims is trying to defend me and I appreciate it (i think...). I'll also add that I was in the KingB alliance, one of the first in the Domain, bumped for a 75 BLM (probably you. thx) So I stuck around and carted people to the lvl 50 whm's for raise2. I could have raise1'd you or left you to rot but you were dead or weak more than you were alive that fight, the most nukehappy idiot there. I'm glad you 'remember some 40s and 50s on the side' who kept the alliance from totally wiping. your welcome.
Just shut up. You accuse me of not understnding endgame. I never claimed to know "endgame" I claimed to know how HNM works, how to get rank10, and how to do Sky and Promyvion. You baited me into defending myself at a weak point and like an idiot I took the bait. So no, I don't know 'endgame' as you put it. But that has nothing to do with the topic. You leveled with me you claim, my only memory of this was when you were mid twenties and I was on my brd in yuhtungha. Or that might of been davio I get taru's confused.
All insults aside you still have not answered my question. Why is more people at 75 bad? If your answer is because it will be too crowded please read my original post and the one after if your not to lazy to do so, and how your responses were that that is NOT your concern.
