Next update on EXP

Exactly, which is why it'll never happen, and you'll not see a dime in reparations for anything they change in the game. That's the risk you take, and the effort that they might honor and take into consideration, but will override if necessary.

The point is your example of how the economy is harder for newer players now is false. Craftable items are cheaper, and if you want to look at leaping boots, you could camp 2 at level 20 and make yourself set for a long-long time until more expensive gear comes into play.(though I've seen some players with less gil in their gear at high level...)

dude, i told you, the closest farm is too far of a drive for me to get ass. If you want to associate me with fucking a domesticated animal, you're going to have to pick something a little more urban.

Anyway, for clarification, the reason I said you're a tool is because of my opinion that you didnt really make any points throughout this whole thread that are really worth anything, except that there isn't enough end game content to hold everyone at that level.

My answer to this is that no one is gonna get to 75 much faster than square could implement this end game content.

And when someone comes up with a valid point like the one I just made you turn around and pick something else to whine about, or completely ignore them. Its been the same way for the last 30 pages. You should have just given up a long time ago.

As far as your last question about lowering the level cap - I have to repeat this statement - that though cubswoo may be in this game to hit level 75 (and more power to him) there are people that dont play this game JUST to get to the highest level possible. What about those people? Aren't they players too? I don't care if i hit level 70. I don't think I'd ever hit 75. So if they lowered the level cap, that might be cool too.

My ponit being, you guys aren't the only ones playing the game, and should have a bit of understanding about this TNL reduction for the people who it could benefit. You have shown none of that and in some ways continued to insult those people, which leads me to my insult.

I can't wait until i log back in and my tnl is lower than 16000. Good times.

^^

Panda, just because you don't understand my points doesn't mean they're not good. The people I was debating with understood them, regardless of if they agreed or not.

Cubswoo, it appears that the exp reduction is in fact vastly greater than I even guessed they might make. I'll also note basically it helps mostly the range level 55-67. So with my 67 WHM I basically get screwed on 3 jobs. /joy -_-

Atleast it seems to go in a pattern of 1k every lvl now instead of random increases

According to this guys graph i just lost 540,000 exp+

http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=10&mid=111401811464355754&num=4

Before:
Total - 725,000 --> Level 75

After:
Total - 458,000 --> Level 75

With that exp loss I could of had 3 level 75 jobs and my level 41 ranger would be level 60. Factor in the new exp loss system and would probably have 4 level 75's.

/sigh

Yes, i'll get over it, but what a kick in the pants. ><

firestreak, i never said that i didnt understand them. i understand them very well.

However, NONE of them were left without a good rebuttal or a cross point, which i mentioned you either ignored or just tried to find something else to complain about.

Such as I just counterpointed one of your points, and you ignored that.

There would be a good conversation here if you read my point, and then counterpointed that point, and so on. Instead of continuing the conversation, however, you tried to insult me again by mentioning that I might not "understand" your points.

Get it yet?

Isnt everything thats new a kick in the pants to old players if its useless for their lvl? ^^

The undeniable fact remains that 75 isn't worth what it used to be. This change reflects that. You're free to level more than one job. B, you already have. It shouldn't ONLY remain a realistic option for those who are capable of static parties and 10 hour marathons when 75 is MORE than 15% deflated in weight than what it was a year ago.

Don't you realize that logic Peregrine is like throwing gasoline on fire? It's worth less because so many are making it there easier. There's new updates, better strategies, more and better exp areas. So they fix it by lowering the exp cap to make it even easier? They took level 75 out back like old yeller and shot it in the head.

Think about this, everyone, perhap S-E comes to the conclusion that they made a mistake and restore the exp sytem to what it was before this update. Now, do you think they'd give us our exp back that THEY deleted? I think not... I really don't like this update cause I still feel screwed over... and not that I'm level...75...cause I'm not anymore... KS BCNM dying about 10 times and only having R1 makes you lose a lot of exp, still find this update to be bad even though it might help me get back to 75 faster. And those of us against it are stating our opinion and know that we can't keep it from coming. we are(or atleast myself is) just upset that none of you even care that S-E is screwing us over and people only seem so selfish knowing that they can make it to 75 faster just to appease their own desires and not care that people are getting screwed over along the way.

I haven't read all 30 pages of this thread so I don't know whether this has been covered yet or not.

Considering that playonline is a business and they want to make money this makes perfect sense. Assuming that the figures that 'devisortheory' worked out are correct it is very interesting to think about this.

The figures were

Pre-Update:
51-75 = 725,000 experience points.

Post-Update:
51-75 = 650,000 experience points.

This of course along with an xp loss upon K.O. reduction.

Essentially from a business perspective it's very obvious that they're trying to keep people interested. The xp reduction will allow people who have leveled one job to 75 to level another job to 75 more easily. If you already have 2+ jobs @ 75 SE probably won't compensate you because it's obvious you're addicted to their product and you don't need any more incentive to keep playing.

For the people who hit 60 however and begin to ask 'Why?' there is the sudden light at the end of the tunnel - 10% less xp, more fun, less headache. "Hey I think I'll stick it out to 75!". That's another month of paid subscription at least right there.

Anyhow, definitely a kick in the pants to those who have lvl'd to 75 already on one job or more but I highly doubt they will compensate in the least. One thing they might do to keep people 75+ hooked is offer more merit point application or other various goodies, that'd make business sense.

how are you guys getting exact numbers by just looking at the graph? >.>

Oh and in reference to getting screwed - it is not that much of an xp reduction, it does seem rather elusive.

10% less xp means that those who go 51-75 after the update only worked 90% as hard as you to get there... that's not some huge disparaging difference. It is, however, enough to keep people interested, and maybe have people level other jobs to 75+. If you're 75 already you're not really getting 'screwed', especially if you want to level to 75 on another job. They're not taking 75 away from you, they're only leeching 10% off the top.

It's just estimation, but from the graph you can tell pretty closely how the numbers work out.

Well the graph shows the line, so if you can match up where the y coordinates are the same, you can safely guage an estimate.

E.G. level 61 Old System ~= level 67 old system.

I see...

Tyrath you need to fix your 'My Gallery' link - it comes with a trojan virus.
