Because i'm a huge fan Ninja Gaiden and the console war, i want to make a comparrison thread for Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Ninja Gaiden 2 with what we have seen so far. Yes i'm with PS3 over 360, but the XboX also has Ninja Gaiden, so this isn't favourtism to say the least. It's speculation, yet things have gotten too calm wouldn't you say.

First i'll mention i and alot of other fans of this game is not too thrilled with the NG2 demo at the TGS. Hopefully Team Ninja will address such issues, and return Ryu's roll to say the least. Still it's only a demo, and not even finished.
Some say NG2 looks better than Sigma even though NG2 has only been sampled to us through compresed video. There is no doubt that NG2 could end up looking better, but it's hard to imagine it doing so.

Ninja Gaiden 2
Ninja Gaiden Sigma
Team Ninja is pro XboX, and obviously Ninja Gaiden is their flag ship. Money aside even they wanted to make a grand gesture on the best hardware in the console world.
Finding out Sigma's actual size on disc has proven challenging for me. For the sake of research I did find what claims to be a torrent for Sigma which is 11.5 gigs compressed. The uncompressed image file for Sigma lives on a Blue Ray Disc. Ninja Gaiden 2 will be on a DVD9. Granted the Xenos in the 360 can eat the RSX in the PS3. But if NG2 is to have a fair amount of content, then the NG2 disc, like MOST 360 games, will not be able to supply the 360 with what the GPU needs to deliver what we'd exspect from the current generation visually.
Sigma and NG2 will figurativly be an exposure in terms of what we get out of the PS3 and 360. Even though my personal expectations for NG2 is low, i Still hope it'll be an awesome addition, for now things are looking very grim for it in terms of game play, the enviroments are nice to say the least. The Demo had enemies standing around just waiting to get beat down and shit, made me feel depressed, unlike Ninja Gaiden Black in the XboX1 where you get to atleast act like a Ninja when soloing groups of enemies.

Yosuke Hayashi - Director for Ninja Gaiden Sigma said:The developers that say it’s too hard to develop for the PS3 and complain about it are missing the point. It sounds like an excuse to the consumer to us.
It’s not so much that we brought the game over to the PS3 as it is we more or less are recreating Ninja Gaiden with the most up-to-date graphic techniques in order to take advantage of the hardware. In order to have this be a great experience for both people who are new to the series as well as those who’ve enjoyed it since the beginning, we want to provide an experience that looks totally new and fresh. One of the best ways to do that was to have a game that runs at a 1080p with a constant 60 fps, and utilizes real-time self-shadowing.No other game as accomplished all three of these goals at once.![]()
