Regardless of which Prade it was, the name Prade is not to be trusted nor invited to endgame shells unless you want to risk this kind of shit.

oh nice Prade was Asian
i never knew

cool cool

I understand that Prade came back and gave the coin to ls so it could be lotted on by members. Is that correct? If it is, it should have been mentioned.

I don't know any of the people mentioned in this matter, So I have no vested interest in making this point.

he was suppose to be back in his homeland where he will not be able to play FFXI around November.
I am pretty sure that isn't him. To me, the real prade is a level whore and rarely participate this sort of stuff.
I could be wrong cause I haven't contacted him for months.
But if that's not the real Prade, i think i might know who is that as Prade told me something secret

Wasn't this comon knowlege?

Did you read the OP?

It was also mentioned that when he came in to give it back he lotted on another. If it was truly his intention to stop being an asshat then he would not have done that. It is for THAT reason I state that he is untrustworthy. He came under the white flag and stabbed us in the kidney with it. Those are not the actions of a repentant individual whatever the ultimate outcome.

you're absolutely correct. it's not the original prade, but i'm not willing to say who it was. anyways, he was planning on quitting anyways, no doubt, he left with a bang. cancelled the account last night.

eww he used call1 in his sleep macro:shok:
don't know how you could stand that, should be some kind of commandment or something.

though shall not useith call 1-3 in any macro what so ever call 1-3 shall only be used to get a afker attention.

As for what he did umm ya no concept of the game come to mind. By his text he seem to think he was justified. Though might add you seemed kinda unclear about your own shell lotting rights, but is no excuse for his action, but would like to here is side:wink:

Fair enough.

i realize as i creep closer to 65-70...

hearing all the absolute shit that goes on in endgame content shells....really really makes me not want to even mess with all of it.

1) if it has to work on the honor system, screw it. it's never going to work. some dishonest bastard will come along (i don't even know prade, so don't take it as i'm calling him/her a bastard) and screw others over for their personal gain. likewise! there will always be some sort (no matter how small) of favoritism in said shells, and the people who have known each other longer or have kissed the most ass to the shell leader will generally get the better gear. like it or not, it's the truth. it happens in the real world, and i guarantee it happens in a virtual world as well.

2) blacklisting a player universally for a stupid mistake is a mite extreme in any case, no matter how severe. i've known people who have and continue to ninja lot on relatively good items, and in cases exceptionally expensive items, but i've always kept it within the context of the party/shell i/we are in; and as a result the person got kicked and (yes, blacklisted) from our shell, but we don't broadcast their name, we leave it to others to form the same opinion of said persons.

3) dynamis-x/limbus/gods/et al. really just don't sound like much fun if there is a set of 'governance rules' one has to follow in 'the name of the shell'. i hear too often whines, or even genuine rants about people getting screwed out of their gear, yet continue giving their help in the feeble hope of somehow not being screwed the next round of fighting. gluttony for punishment? or just really helpful? i don't know, but i'd just as soon call it a day and have fun elsewhere WITHOUT my AF2/AF+1 than have to either lose my mind trying to obtain it, or end up feeling like my job INGAME is my real job >.>

just the little things i've taken away from EVERYTHING i've ever read about endgame shells.

flame the hell on.

Don't base your judgements on 1% of the scenarios. In most respectable endgame shells, be it Dynamis / Limbus / HNMs whatever, there is no drama to affect the overtone. If there is drama, it's dealt with swiftly so it doesn't rain on the members' parades.

We see about 1 flame a month regarding Dynamis mishaps. Compare that to at least 100 Dynamis runs a month on this server.

The Prade I know wouldn't do that. The Prade I know helped me whevever I asked him to and would go to any lengths to help someone. He also randomly sends me tells like "I know what you did last summer", and since he hasn't done so in such a long time, I'm assuming that the real Prade gave his account to another person.

Secondly, end-game favoratism exists because most of the time, new members come in expecting a yellow-bricked-road path to elite items, only to find out there is an expected effort that correlates to obtaining something like that. Most people think there's a shortcut and get disappointed when they find out there are none.

Kissing a leader's ass can't change drop order if your que is setup dependant on attendence/effort points. If honor systems only work if you can trust each other, and trust is earned with time, then I guess you need to put in the time to make the honor system work. Trust goes both ways though . . . I find it hard to trust stupid people, and there are many leaders of FF linkshells that are stupid.

That's why your flameboard exists.

You can take a pessimistic stance on the virtual world just as much as the real world. Sure, your said opinion on the truth of the world may be... real, but in continuing to better yourself and rise in the ranks, I think it's just as true that one has to bear it and ride out the storms when they come. Besides, just like the real world, you hear more about the bad news than the good news.

Point is, you may miss all the great things that come with End Game.

If we're comparing things to the real world, lets be honest. Sex Offenders get tagged based on one black mark. Felons get marked for the felonies they commit. Regardless of your religious background on forgiveness, etc. leaving it to others to form the same opinion is like your neighbor committing a sex act against a girl in your neighborhood and then him getting kicked out of the area only to move across town and let his new neighbors form new opinions about his sex offending when he does it again.
Would you prefer someone's history up front when hiring him, or finding out later he committed theft/robbery after you've been robbed by him?

Secondly, as "big" as this server is, it's nothing more than a small community, a small rural town in Missouri, for that matter. Word travels around fast. Doesn't matter if you universally blacklist or not. And in everyone's best interest, it's just easier to hear someone's history than be burned later.

Governance rules are there for a reason. Football is no fun if there are no rules to it. Neither is basketball. There are always rules for fair play. Just like in football, you have your T.O's and your Peyton Mannings and your Tom Brady's. But when it becomes all about the "me me me" and the "money money money," that's where the problems come in. If you put your honest good effort into helping your team, and enjoying the game, people notice. You will be rewarded. Mostly, it's the person's attitude, attitude makes all the difference in the world.

there are reason why shells have rules it keep player A who just got there day one from getting it from player B who been in shell for months. If player A put no commentment get his item first day then leave would you think that be fair for player B. I know from stand point from a rdm or pld it would not because by far those 2 are the hardest to get.

To Tristam - There can be a lot of unwanted experiences with endgame. I haven't really participated in endgame aside from Dynamis, but i've heard stories of leaders screwing over their entire LS by using their LS money to buy their in game GF super expensive items, and what not. So yes while there are going to be some negative stories you'll here, that doesn't mean that those are the only things happening. There will always be good people, honest people, and people that commit and devote themselves to work as a team and while you might not necessarily be lucky to experience those people "often", they do exist in this game.

And like it was said earlier, if the leader of the LS has the best interest of the LS in mind, they will deal with any players like Prade immediately because they too, don't want to be brought down by players like that.

Also, when Archmage posted this thread he had no intention of saying "blacklist Prade", but rather wanted to let the other endgame LSs, especially the Dynamis ones know that he's already proven he can not be trusted, and is only looking out for himself. It would be really sad to see him actually succeed in stealing AF or other items from a Dynamis LS when he's not deserving of it. They can recruit him if they want, everyone is entitled to that choice.. to judge Prade with or without taking into consideration what happened to our LS, is up to them. But at least they have some information on the guy, and they have proof that it happened.

Personally in my opinion though, having chat logs which outright show his attitude which is self serving, and not "team playing" is enough to not want him in any LS i'd lead. I prefer to have people that are there to help each other, and see that EVERYONE finishes, as the saying goes.

exactly. in XI, we thankfully don't have to deal with this kind of crap, but we do have to deal with the OP's problem member, people leading BC/KS runs and QMing the drops to themselves, etc. without a community forum like this, jerk offs can do this over and over on new unsuspecting people until the five people they screwed turns into ten, twenty and word gets around. or one of the original five people can take some screenshots, post them on here and the drop thief has considerably fewer chances to pull a fast one on an unwary party.

The OP didn't have to make this thread, his ls could have kept it to themselves but I'm glad they didn't. Posts of this kind are the only useful ones on this board.

So Prade isn't the Prade of old. Good to know. The Prade I knew was a selfless helper and a kind soul, I wish him the best in Singapore...
