hearing all the absolute shit that goes on in endgame content shells....really really makes me not want to even mess with all of it.
1) if it has to work on the honor system, screw it. it's never going to work. some dishonest bastard will come along (i don't even know prade, so don't take it as i'm calling him/her a bastard) and screw others over for their personal gain. likewise! there will always be some sort (no matter how small) of favoritism in said shells, and the people who have known each other longer or have kissed the most ass to the shell leader will generally get the better gear. like it or not, it's the truth. it happens in the real world, and i guarantee it happens in a virtual world as well.
You can take a pessimistic stance on the virtual world just as much as the real world. Sure, your said opinion on the truth of the world may be... real, but in continuing to better yourself and rise in the ranks, I think it's just as true that one has to bear it and ride out the storms when they come. Besides, just like the real world, you hear more about the bad news than the good news.
Point is, you may miss all the great things that come with End Game.

2) blacklisting a player universally for a stupid mistake is a mite extreme in any case, no matter how severe. i've known people who have and continue to ninja lot on relatively good items, and in cases exceptionally expensive items, but i've always kept it within the context of the party/shell i/we are in; and as a result the person got kicked and (yes, blacklisted) from our shell, but we don't broadcast their name, we leave it to others to form the same opinion of said persons.
If we're comparing things to the real world, lets be honest. Sex Offenders get tagged based on one black mark. Felons get marked for the felonies they commit. Regardless of your religious background on forgiveness, etc. leaving it to others to form the same opinion is like your neighbor committing a sex act against a girl in your neighborhood and then him getting kicked out of the area only to move across town and let his new neighbors form new opinions about his sex offending when he does it again.
Would you prefer someone's history up front when hiring him, or finding out later he committed theft/robbery after you've been robbed by him?
Secondly, as "big" as this server is, it's nothing more than a small community, a small rural town in Missouri, for that matter. Word travels around fast. Doesn't matter if you universally blacklist or not. And in everyone's best interest, it's just easier to hear someone's history than be burned later.

3) dynamis-x/limbus/gods/et al. really just don't sound like much fun if there is a set of 'governance rules' one has to follow in 'the name of the shell'. i hear too often whines, or even genuine rants about people getting screwed out of their gear, yet continue giving their help in the feeble hope of somehow not being screwed the next round of fighting. gluttony for punishment? or just really helpful? i don't know, but i'd just as soon call it a day and have fun elsewhere WITHOUT my AF2/AF+1 than have to either lose my mind trying to obtain it, or end up feeling like my job INGAME is my real job >.>
just the little things i've taken away from EVERYTHING i've ever read about endgame shells.
Governance rules are there for a reason. Football is no fun if there are no rules to it. Neither is basketball. There are always rules for fair play. Just like in football, you have your T.O's and your Peyton Mannings and your Tom Brady's. But when it becomes all about the "me me me" and the "money money money," that's where the problems come in. If you put your honest good effort into helping your team, and enjoying the game, people notice. You will be rewarded. Mostly, it's the person's attitude, attitude makes all the difference in the world.
