Nintendo 3DS - First Impressions!

So my 3DS came today, along with my game purchase, Samurai Warriors (don't judge me, the line up was THAT bad).

My first thoughts was how cool it looks, like glossy and a hell of a lot smaller than I first thought. The analouge stick is actually hella good and works with old DS games I hear (finally Mario 64 DS will play like it should!)

I'm turning it on now to test the 3D... Um, it's not as dramatic as I first thought. But with that said I've only been through the menus which they can't do much in terms of 3D with anyway. I'll edit later and post more on this when I've had time to play my game with it.

Which colour are you getting? I'm loving both to be honest. The only reason I got black is because on the top screen on the blue one it has a black outline that looks odd. But from the outside they both look pretty classy. Is it sad that I'm the most amazed by how cool the docking station is...

I showed my dad the 3D camera and he was blown away haha. He's a bit of an oldie when it comes to technology (he only just realized touch screens exist and was pretty amazed). I don't know what will happen if I show him the AR cards. They are pretty sweet, been messing with them loads. Samurai Chronicles is a pretty decent game, I wasn't expecting much. Been having fun with it however and I would recommend it to those who enjoy Dynasty Warrior games.

I gave my DS lite to my brother this morning otherwise I would get a picture of them both next to each other. From what I can tell from just looking at them, they're pretty much the same size. I think the 3DS is a little heavy and a tiny bit thicker but that's about it.

Size is a pretty big thing when it comes to handheld gaming for me which is why I'm probably posting so much about it lol. Thanks for the clearer images Shirai!

Nice. I ordered a blue one from Amazon, but it probably won't arrive until late next week. I have Pokemon White to keep me occupied until it arrives, but I'm really looking forward to playing around with it.

Been playing around a bit with Augmented reality.
That stuff is awesome, and sallary came so let's see if Zelda's out yet.

Well it was meant to come out today for me, but mail service is awesome sometimes. There was a chance I could of gotten it on Wednesday seeing as it did get dispatched at 8AM Tuesday on next day delivery.

Don't be too upset though. Europe normally get things at least 3 days later than you guys. Sometimes a couple of months. I wish they would just release everywhere at the same time though, that would be sweet.

I actually think it's to do with translation or something. Which is annoying for the UK as we only have a few minor differences in our language which I honestly would put up with for faster release times lol.

I know!?! How the fuck would I get by in life without such changes. Sad part is, I'm actually taking on many American spellings from reading mostly American texts and speaking so often to the cheeseburger hoarding race. I can't help it! It's only so many times I can take before I question putting 'U's everywhere. I mean, are they really needed!?!

Checked out a display model in a store, it's pretty cool. I'd like to get one, but I just don't do enough hand held gaming as it is for my DS lite, let alone another one.

I got one for myself, should be arriving today. No 3d games yet though, the ones that're out don't really interest me. I've never owned a DS though, so I got a few of those games to toy around with until something good comes out ^^d

Uh, I have one and tried to go online in SSIV and it said no access range wtf? When I setup the wifi in my 3DS it says the connection was successful. I'm like 10 feet from my router too..wtf?
