HELL! I am a mage...I have teleport/warp/warp II/sneak and invis...and you know what...I carry silent oil and prism powders on me in case I find myself somewhere I can't cast magic. IF I can do it when 99% of the time I don't even need them...then why the hell can't others??
 
People are too used to getting assistance from party members. In a way, it's good that they can develop such trust, but in another I guess it'd be bad to have such dependance..

this is why I will only sneak once per zone if you don't have powders and oils you should not be waisting the partys time with your broke ass, powders and oils are basic equipment! I'm not going to tractor or raise them when they catch mass agro they can HP and go get the powders and oils they should have had on them in the first place!!!

Im seeking for a party, and someone keeps spamming /sh warp 2 please, 500 gil

So naturaly I do not respond, since I'm seeking, so then i get a tell from the person asking me a warp 2, I'm a 51BLM. I say no, I'm busy right now, and cant give you one. Most would call it a day there, but not this person. Eight tells later, I'm still telling him why I will not give him one ... then I just go afk, and miss the PT invite! :cry:
 
if you participate in any of the sky Gods, the Arcanna there all arrgo to magic as do the Pots.

Also from 70-75 mage, melee dosnt matter each memmberis required to carry Sneak Oils and Powders, since Mobs there arrgo to magic.
 
This may sound a little silly, but this was my solution to stopping my BLM from giving his friends D2s while we were in the middle of a chain, was to carry a Warp Cudgel with me and just initiate the trade when they asked.

I have always had it sent back, I guess I am lucky with that so far, but I always get a tell afterwards saying thanks and occassionally someone telling me the cudgel was awsome and they were going to buy one.

PS: The original purpose of the cudgel was to give to friends that were helping me out so they didn't have to use up their insta-warp/CP when they were being so nice ^^;

Unfortunetly, since I got it, I haven't gotten much help either.
 
However...some of us (mostly me..) let ourselves get walked on...and just sneak/invis everyone in the party because we can....if our enhancing skill sucks so badly that we can't get them across a zone with one cast then the problem is us to begin with.. =\

Sadly I have no evidince to believe enhancing magic skill effects sneak and invis duration.

The only way to have fun while getting to camp is to have mages cast sneak/invis on you. Cause when it wears in the middle of tonnes of mobs, the fun begins. Since when does hey, let's do this efficently as possible and make sure we all go in a straight line. If one of you strays off, ooo someone's going to get a hurt, reall bad. Become fun?

The best adventures in this game is not knowning if your going to live or not. Sometimes I wish this game would be like EQ. If you die your gone. Because, it would be so much more exciting if you have 10HP and your tryin to save your ass, and you just reach the zone with 1hp, then your surrounded by a flippin Gob train. I mean, if thats not the best fucking adventure, asides from like tossing a rock at a God and killing it. I don't know what is.

There's con's to this, and the game would have to of been changed around it. But i think it would be shit loads of fun.

I guess I was really one of the only higher level(61(lol)) people who didn't take this game seriously.

I try not to take the game too seriously myself, either (hell, I tend to go WHM/THF and farm stuff with no weapon), and I personally prefer casting sneak/invis on people to get em to camp since it works enhancing, but on the other side I do see how it can get annoying....but, well, I guess there's a time for joking, and there's a time for seriousness, just gotta know when is when =\

Though, throwing an Astragalos at a gob when your throwing is 100+....THATS fun. XD
