Noob first time partying blunders...

Tell me about stupid thing's you've done the first time you've partied....

My first real party experience I was a THF so I was pulling. I didn't realize Damsel flys in the dunes linked....I pull a fly and all of a sudden everyone in the party yelled link link I didn't know what that meant so I kept going. I ended up getting the whole pty whipped out... Needless to say they wouldn't let me pull anymore..

When i started leveling war i didnt know what "being the tank" meant so i never voked and got most of my party killed lol

lol...I had a noob in Bastok ask me to show him where Cid was, I ended up helping him out, I even PL'd him a lil bit... When he was close to the point where he would be off to the dunes and partying for the first time I tried to explain to him what his role as a warrior would be in a party but he kept fooling around and not listening....needless to say I came online one day to see him in the dunes I sent him a /tell and asked him how he liked his first party and he said "Not Good and that he hated partying" Haven't seen him online since...I think he may of quit
 
As a war I <3 Mighty Strikes so I did that every 2 hours regardless of situation. I was like /p CHECK THIS OUT! POW Mighty Strikes!.

LOL.. dia'd a dhamel in T. canyon by accident so it started attacking us while we were working a bee. Tenkax voked it coz he was tank (and died) and asked where the hell it came from. Told him it aggro'd and kept it a secret from him for a long time. We eventually told him the truth coz he avoided Dhamels.

Off the top of my head......lets see.....when I pulled at Garlaige Citidal for the first time, I didnt realize there huge ass holes in the ground. So.....I think you know how that ended up, lol.

Yeah, same thing happened to me. First time I pulled I ended up linking not only flies, but gobs later too. Luckily, I had a good group and we survived both times. Probably had a PL there.
 
My first character was an Elvaan MNK....

Not only did I have horrible gear (mage stuff for the most part) and didn't know to use food, but I had a Boost macro in /say (yes, I know.... >.<;;) and would just blow TP without bothering to let people know I had TP.... yeah, I was the textbook "noob melee." lol >.<;;
 
I was in a party with a level gap of 11-15 and thinking chain 3s for 30 exp were good. I've also thought deodorize did the same thing as sneak/invis when I got it.

However, most recent nooby thing I did was I've warped myself out of a mission BC....that's pretty nooby
 
Hmm. Nothing too drastic for me since I was WHM and BLM at the start. Although I didn't see the point in food for quite some time. Someone clued me in on the 3rd job I was leveling.. I think I got to 25 WHM before ever using Benediction. I know for sure we could have used it, but I never thought about it.. LOL

my first character was a elvaan war named sadant, i soloed him to 14 not knowing that there was a dunes. and the first time i went there as him i partied with 4 other wars and a mnk thinking we would have no need for a whm. lets just say the sheep we fought did not be as kind as i hope it would of been.
 
Never read the instruction manual so was using TAB to manually target party members as a Red Mage healer. Never figured out about F1-6 keys until later...

My newb moment....
I have so many....
I remember partying as lvl3's with 2 of my SOCOM buddies near SanD. We just kept going out and killing things, not worrying about death, we'd just hp and come back. Well we didn't realize/know that there were TWO gates into the city. It'd take 20 minutes to get back together.
"Where are you?"
"I'm at the gate!"
"Dude, we're AT the gate and we don't see you!" lmao

The other newb moment was not that long ago. Went to do garuda with some peeps, but on the way there I fell down that one-way pit to gustav.

All was good, only I somehow managed to fall into that same pit again!!

/sigh. I'm sure the group was cussing me something fierce....
 
Oh yeah, I also soloed to 3 with my barehands, not realizing that I HAD a staff AND a scroll of stone......
 
In yhoator I Gravity'd a Lizard which resaulted in a Wipe.
 
I used a ~ga spell in Valkurm and managed hit 2 gobs and leech (as well as the intended target) as BLM no sub, resulting in a very fast wipe... ah the good ol'days. The really strange thing was nobody was really angry ,they just laughed it off.

The next PT was better and we actually managed to chain well, I remeber firing a /t at someone who was rank 5 asking "what does it mean when your elemental skill lvl turns blue" ... >_>;
 
i walked around sandy and invited a bunch of lvl 75's asking them to party with me. needless to say, that party disbanded fast.
