November update: Job adjustment (if not posted already)

I sorta knew it was a Hoax as soon as the blm updates were there, and knew it was fake as soon as they wanted to boost the number of shadows.

Same. If SE truly ever says anything like that for Black Mage, my heart would break and my eyes would bleed.

Yes, something like that would have been MUCH better, lol.

Though realistically even SE wouldn't completely wipe a merit category, just reduce it down to 3 without returning any of the spent merits.
Well, that last part is just thrown in to make it an obvious joke, but still piss people off that believes it, lol

I don't rely on Gravity to solo anyway. Now if they were to change Bind to 180 recast...

That would blow... I love Bind. Best spell ever =/

Doesn't bind build up resistance?

Yes, but nowhere near as fast as gravity, nor to the same extent... And tbh, most mobs don't build much resistance to them at all. Just seems its "a select few". With capped ice merits and enfeebling merits its barely noticeable on most mobs.

Y'know the "mobs build up resistance to spells" thing was supposedly already implemented....but the only mob I've even seen build up resistance of any sort is Yovra. =/

Yes, I know :P

For example, Elemental spells are noticeable in Einherjar. Stun is noticeable on Salvage bosses.

The only "resistance" I've experienced with Bind is a shorter duration. However, resistance with Gravity is very noticeable. It first happened with Amikiri, I would recast Gravity whenever it wore off...After about 5 recasts, it completely resisted and I had to use Bind instead. Although Amikiri is very weak but has high HP, I don't think it's a good example.

Then with Kreutzet, I knew it would build resistance fast. I only used it when I wanted to nuke or if Bind was short. I used it 3 times, on the 4th it completely resisted and Bind only lasted 5 seconds. I had to Ni>Ichi>Blink>Ni to recast Bind...Scary, lol.

The elemental/enfeeb resistance is only supposed to effect NM's I believe, however, it might effect regular mobs after so long also.

It probbly do, but no normal mobs last long enough for recasting bind and gravity for over 15 min. Besides, if you hold a normal mob for 15 min, it'll go overpowered and rape you. At least NM placeholders do. you'll see it suddenly get 95% evasion boost, attack boost and increased attack speed. Quite fun, lol

Wasn't there someone who bound/grav'd a normal mob ( I think in saruta) for 30 mins? Or was the idea just put forward?

Iunno, I just know that at least NM place holders go overpowered if you hold them for too long. I had a very fun time watching an alliance of gilsellers getting horribly pwned by a LoO place holder raping them way back when. I took a wild guess that it held true for all mobs rather then just a select few. But its possible it only holds true for NM placeholders.

Pre cop nms don't build any resistance to bind. The only mobs that build resistance to bind are random cop nms and possibly some toau nms. Gration and that tonberry for example do.
